If China was doing the right thing in the environmental field I think we would not be sending much of our manufacturing there even with their cheap cost of labor.

I agree that China and India are among the countries that are being cut some slack.
The question to me is are they having any goals set, and will there be a plan to get them to catch up.
From an evil capitalist viewpoint, why not let them screw up their own environment and then saddle themselves with large medical costs in the long run, instead of us…
