Do they ever consult actual Native Americans to see if we are pissed?
As an actual fucking Apache (born and raised on the Mescalero Reservation) who also served in the US Army, I happen to think it is bad ass that the most bad ass helicopter in the universe — the suppressive fire from which saved my Apache ass on numerous occasions – is named in honor of my tribe.
I am SO tired of lily-white liberals telling me I should be offended by any of this crap.
Do they want our Apache reservation high school football team to change our name — we’re the “Chiefs.” Ruidoso (basically the same town) is the the “Warriors” One of the middles schools is “the Braves.”
You know, because WE’RE INDIANS. (Er, “Native Americans,” sorry to offend, you dipshits in Sante Fe.)
Such unmitigated bullshit.
And, for the record, I was always a Washington Redskins fan because Texas people come here on vacation (and bless them and their money) and they were obnoxious Cowboys fans.
Have a shirt I wear to the gym, in fact.

This sums it up perfectly. Why are ones it’s not supposed directed to the most offended (white libs)??
Why is paying homage to one’s warrior spirit racist? Please.

Missiles are also sexist. Due to their phallus-like shape they subconsciously enforce misogyny and prop up patriarchal systems of oppression against women and gender non-conformists.

Not bad. Quite accurate. Expecting the NOW to jump into the fray. All weapons need to be gender-neutral.

(Tee following is best if read in low, flat, monotone with inordinate pauses at punctuation. Think “Big Chief” from Peter Pan move.)
Because we Injuns stupid.
And we be like children.
We need Great White Liberal Mothers to save us and tell us how to live.
(And yes, such is the ingrained racism at the heart of liberalism. Makes this Injun — who happens to be an engineer — very tired.)

We should make a vagina shaped missile - that’ll make em happy!

My only argument here is it is Contemporary American (particularly if contemporary is the last 200 or so years) Liberalism has this problem.
Classical Liberalism, which has been so forth perverted beyond measure, is the opposite of racist.
But you know this, I’m just nitpicking.
The USS Gerald R. Ford is racist against Gerald R. Fords, and the F-22 Raptor is inconsiderate of the Dromaeosaurid community.

I think the acceptable PC way is to let the missile decide what it should be shaped like.

No, when you name something after a white guy (unless he is queer or a communist, in which case it is “not enough”), it’s the patriarchy asserting dominance.
When you name something after anyone else, it’s racist.

I was actually thinking more Big Chief Ugh-Amugh-Ugh from Popeye.

An Australian coined the term “Missile Envy.”

lmao. So true
The Army had named several Hueys after various tribes starting with the H-13 Sioux. Then the Shawnee, Choctaw and Chickasaw soon followed. Then enter the UH-1, also known as the Iroquios.
In the 1960s, the Army named their next chopper the “Cobra”. Get this, some Native American leaders were actually taken aback that the new aircraft WASN’T named for a Native American tribe. Though Army officials broke with tradition in an effort to not offend Native American tribes, the gesture actually backfired!! Is that crazy or what? So the Army responded and revived their tradition with: The AH-56 Cheyenne, the OH-58 Kiowa, the awesome AH-64, and two BLACKHAWKS. We also have the RAH-66 Comanche.
Here is the kicker-- the fact that Army Material Command actually gets approval from Native American tribes before naming its aircraft. That?s according to the Department of the Army?s Pamphlet 70-3, paragraph 1-11-4-g, for you sadists out there. So all of you liberal quislings out there: Eat Sandra Fluke’s gaping vag.

Patent office didnâ??t receive a single public complaint before stripping Redskins trademark
Obama-appointees just “happened” to cancel a valuable trademark of a large Republican contributor.
You now, just like how 10% of TEA party supporters get audited, how the DOJ gives special interest to Republicans, and ignores Democrat corruption.
I am not sure how liberals, with their supposed belief in liberty, are not the first ones calling for massive impeachments and terminations.

I absolutely agree with this statement. There was a time where I classified myself as a liberal as I believed in equal rights for everyone, free trade, freedom of the press, etc. In fact most of the Founding Fathers were liberals using the classical definition.
But now liberal means something totally different.
