I don't know how many of you have been following the whole Montebello protest story, but if you haven't, well take a look at the video diffused a couple of days ago.
A close up quickly reveals the “protesters” wearing same boots as the cops. Anyway, after originally denying the charges, the Quebec police finally admitted that they used undercover agents.
Quebec police admit they went undercover at Montebello protest
Quebec provincial police admitted Thursday that three of their officers disguised themselves as demonstrators during the protest at the North American leaders summit in Montebello
This is huge news in many regards. First, it shows the power of the Internet to bring power back to the people. Then, it confirms the enormous gap of power between the system and grassroots opposition to it.
Canada is losing big points on this one if they don’t hold the people responsible in charge.
Dude, there’s nothing wrong with the police disguising themselves to fit in with various groups of people.
Police said the three were told to monitor protesters who were not peacefully demonstrating to prevent any violent incidents, but they were called out as undercover agents when they refused to throw objects.
We’d need something approaching proof of some type of wrongdoing in order to hold anyone responsible for anything. You are a bit of a conspiracy theorist today… have you been smoking crack or something?

He’s been drinking the bong water. Its a Moroccan tradition. j/k (yah know we luv ya Lixy, in a Christian kind of way, mind you!!)
I think the whole thing went exactly as planned, boots, internet and all.
While the media have been concentrating for days now on those “agent provocateur” and getting statements from the RCMP, the SQ, etc; no one thinks to ask what was discussed behind those closed doors; what deals were made, what was asked for or given; what and why were those rich businessmen in on the talks.
That huge concentration of money, influence and power, and not a damn peep about what transpired form it from any MSM. Great, no? Could you plan it any better?
It’s so easy to pull the wool over the people’s eyes, when most of them are already sheep.
So, keep wasting your time being outraged by “undercover” agents wearing the wrong boots. As if such a rookie mistake could really happen “by accident.” Keep asking for investigations and answers from the wrong people about the wrong event.

I see plenty of wrong with an undercover cop holding a rock, mingling with peaceful protesters. That’s the very definition of an “agent provocateur”.[/quote]
