Similar situation here: age 65, on Clomid since low-T was first tested following a right adrenalectomy in 2014 (to remove a pheochromocytoma).
The Clomid worked like a charm until about a year ago when low-T symptoms crept back in, specifically ED, low libido, lack of drive and motivation, exhaustion, brain fog, the works.
Recent labs show my TT is through the roof (I’m still currently on the Clomid) but FT is in the basement, well below normal range. SHGB wasn’t tested, but is presumed to be high causing the low free-T Endo prescribed Androgel to directly boost free-T, but I have doubts about this reasoning. Have tried boron to depress SHGB with some initial success, but this has waned even after cycling 2-weeks on and 1-week off.
Is there data supporting the notion that exogenous T in this context will result in improved free-T? Could more T put me in a worse spot (I’ve read about a honeymoon phase that can fizzle). Any other ideas?
