After Research, Switching to Daily Injections. Still Have Questions

So I’ve been doing daily injections for about 4 days now. I was on 250 a week split into 2 dosages of 125 Saturday and Wed. After the insane amount of studies I read and YouTube videos I watched talking about how much better daily injections are I decided to give it a shot. (no pun intended)

So far I am not sure if it’s placebo or what but I have noticed a great increase in energy and sense of well being. I had that before but it seemed to peak the days of my shot, not that I ever felt low or anything but the days following my shot it was definitely less noticeable. I am also a huge gym person so I started out at 150 got my levels checked and they really hadn’t moved so long story short I ended at 250. I noticed however that amped feeling test gives you and just crazy energy seemed to go down as my dosage increase just slightly while my strength levels in the gym have gone up.

I noticed since going daily that crazy energy and insane amped feeling in the gym is back.Seems like the best of all worlds. I am now on 35mg daily BTW. The biggest thing I noticed though is my SLEEP has been SOOOO much better. I actually seem to sleep throughout the night which is something I NEVER did in my whole life. Can anyone tell me if this is just coincidence or have they experienced it too?

Now the question I have is I have been doing it IM so far because I wanted to do a little more research on Subq injections. I have read some say its not the best with Enanthate and that is what I am using right now though I have both, cyp and E on hand. I have read it’s really not a good idea to do IM everyday because of the damage it will do to the muscles over the long term.

Now do you need to aspirate with Subq? I have read you don’t but just want your take on it because I have also been told by many that you don’t need to aspirate with IM either which I know with test that is false.

Lastly just curious is daily injections better or worse as far as muscle building? I am taking this because I had low test but I am of course also looking for the strength benefits as I am sure I am not the only one here. I was watching a video though where a guy said after like 125mg in one shot your body doesn’t even really process the rest as test and it’s pretty much dumped or converted to estrogen so smaller frequent injections your body will actually utilize more of the test.

Thank you guys in advance for any and all input!

I suspect the muscle damage concerns are over blown with daily you also create a smaller depot so I suspect its a wash in the long run. You’re probably using a 29g for injecting so smaller holes too.

Test E is fine for subq you however just may not like the way you feel in subq. Some guys just don’t like it.

You do not have to aspirate for subq injections. Or for the IM ones for that matter, I never have. I don’t think many if any do on the board.

Give the sub q a shot (ha see what I did there) and see if you like it, you may or may not, you won’t know until you’ve tried. Give it at least a couple of months and it might be worth while to keeps some notes on how you feel now during a typical week so you can compare. Memory isn’t always accurate.

Good luck.

I was actually using 27 1/2 inch. Should I get 29?

Nope. I’ve been doing sub-q from the start of my TRT 2 years ago. I’ve never aspirated once. I inject EOD and rotate around my belly button each shot about an inch and a half away from it.

I’m following this thread because I’m considering going ED too. Really interested to read about your journey so please keep us updated.

Do you have any blood work before changing protocol you are going to use as reference? What do some of your numbers look like?

27g are fine too, I was thinking of 25g which is what I started with. I’d just use up the 27s you have and pick up a few of the 29s and try them, some people on here use 30 or 31g. You’ll just have to try and see what you like.

I think I saw something recently that said that concerns about muscle scarring from IM injections was overblown. I don’t recall where, though.

No studies exist reiterating this claim sir

I did subq daily for 3 months and then decided to try shallow IM for the last two months, to see if I felt any different. I personally cannot tell a difference between the two. I like shallow IM more though as subq seemed to sting more at times, especially when I did the belly. I don’t notice much differences in dosage variations unless I drop down to around 500ng/dL or lower though so take my experience with a grain of salt. Going from 800-1300 I feel very little difference between the two levels, so mileage may vary on how much you notice.

Ya unfortunately I dont. The only bloodwork I got was before I started and my test was really low which I suspected. I started at 150 and my test went up to around 450 but I wanted it higher, highered it to 200 and my test went up to 540 I still wanted it in the 800 range so I raised it to 250.

To be honest the biggest reason I am going ED is because I noticed the higher I raise my dosage the more my strength in the gym went up but my energy started to go down a bit. Nothing drastic but from what I have read it’s because I am convering to estrogen due to the large injection amounts. I can tell yo after only like 4 days I can tell my energy has gone way up to like what it was when I had just started.

Its still so early I cant wait to see what the future will bring with this new protocol.

Use 27-29 gauge insulin syringe and inject shallow IM, no need to aspirate.

I’m a once a week guy, but interested in this. Could you provide a link to some of these studies?

@jailhousestrong860
I did daily sub-q for a long time and switched to daily IM and find it better personally. You get more of the slight euphoria from IM that I didn’t get on sub-q. I use 28g 1/2 inch needle 1CC insulin syringes with no issues and I only inject in the delts. My advice is to stay IM for a while and then if you want to experiment with sub-q go for it.

How you feel now will likely dissipate some in the coming weeks since you still have a little carry-over from the large shots. That’s how it was for me but daily definitely feels much better than less frequent in my case at least.

@dextermorgan - couple of questions…

  1. What time of day do you inject?
  2. Can you “feel” when the test kicks in post injection? If yes, how long after do you typically “feel it”?

Reason I ask - I used to inject in the morning, around 8:30am. I’d notice around 10-11pm, I’d start to “feel” the test… Unreal sense of well being, feeling great overall and lots of energy. This didn’t work at 11pm, so I switched to injecting at 11pm and would usually feel great around 2pm the next day. I’ve since started injecting at 8pm so I feel better sooner the following day.

I’m curious if your experiences with injection timing/feeling it and your ED shots.

I usually feel it kick in about 2-3 hrs after the shot. I wake up, drink coffee, take sublingual B-12 and then do TRT shots (about an hour after waking up). I felt this before I started supplementing B-12 but B-12 definitely kicks in around the same time so it’s like double the “ready to roll” feeling.

Nice. I wonder why it takes me so long to feel it? I’ve been in TRT for 2 years… And EOD for over a year. Very interesting how we talk work.

Thanks again.

I do it around 7am usually and I feel it id say like by 9 but it seems to build throughout the day like by 12 I have a unreal sense of well being like you mentioned and just insane energy like cant sit still.

Its funny you mention that because I had a feeling that might happen. Especially considering I started this the day after my last big injection so I know I am probably rolling on a ton of test right now lol.

That’s awesome. I’m leaning more and more towards this, but still not sure yet.

I felt the same way but honestly after pretty much every youtube video I watched people saying its the best way to go and a couple good friends of mine from the gym that have switched to that way and told me it’s way better I just had to give it a try. So far I am absolutely loving it. It’s funny you don’t realize how things are affecting you but now I see compared to how I am feeling now I was feeling fatigued before when I would get to a couple days after my shot waiting for the next one.

Now I just feel a constant steady stream of energy and I also feel like I am sleeping much better too. Still early though so hopefully all this good stuff continues.

Is a 1/2 inch needle good for shallow IM injection? Also are you sure you dont need to aspirate? I’ve heard of people hitting veins but never with shallow IM. Is that just something you need to worry about with using a longer needle?

Just curious because I don’t wanna end up hitting one I have heard its a very unpleasant experience that can last days.

I have never hit as vien injecting in my shoulders and quads, I think you are confusing hitting a vein with hitting a nerve, very different. The nurse when giving my vaccinations never aspirate, when I was taught to self inject testosterone into quads, I was never instructed to aspirate.

You will from time to time see blood after pulling the needle out and some injections will hurt a little, no big deal unless you make it one. You will learn which areas to avoid.
