AF787's TRT Journey

I’m currently midway through Week 6 and things remain consistent regarding the changes I’ve seen since I started TRT. I felt a bit more tired this week upon waking up compared to previous weeks, but I think that has to do with me being at the end of a training cycle and the cumulative fatigue. I’ll see how I feel following my deload week.

Here’s a physique update, albeit taken from a slightly different angle and different lighting from my previous shots. I’m surprised by how lean I’ve been able to stay since the start of this bulk (up ~ 10 pounds in total, of course not all muscle). Historically, I’ve been able to stay fairly lean on a bulk, but not with quite this much definition remaining especially in my lower abs.

There are tons of videos by doctor Keith Nichols and Steven Devos on this topic.

Scrotal cream works best and the cream is compounded . The best cream is found at MedQuest.

The scrotal skin is thin and has alpha 5 reductase. This causes the body to absorb the T very well and increase levels much higher. The gel is alcohol base And the dose is very low. You’d need something like 8-10 clicks for 1-2 clicks of the cream We use.

My doctor is close friends and A student of DR ROUZIER.

ROUZIER is the one who got him on using scrotal cream .

If they use a pump it’s probably not it: we use a clicker. Ask for the cream. They should prescribe it.

Bro that pics tiny.

Takes time bro. Your re correct it’s probably just physical

LOL! I just noticed that looking at the post on my phone. For some reason on my laptop, it still looked huge so I kept reducing the size. I fixed it so it looks more normal on both now.

I’m in Ontario, Canada. I wouldn’t be able to get the same stuff. This pharmacy is supposed to be good. They do all sorts of compounding. If they say put it on arms, I guess I could still put it on the scrotum, just at a much lesser dose.

What name them like scrotal cream more than inj? Stability of a daily dose?

And it’s onto Week 8! I don’t really have anything super out of the ordinary to report, and things seem to be holding fairly steady. I’m curious to see what my labs say in a months time, but if I had to guess based on how I’m feeling and what I’ve read, I’m heading in the right direction, but also don’t think I’ve found my optimal protocol. Of course, no surprise given it’s only been 7 weeks, and I know it can be a long process- just more an observation. In particular, I still have some fatigue(though definitely improved), and while I have morning wood almost every day and more erections generally speaking, I don’t think my actual desire for sex has increased all that much. Of course, other factors can be at play here too including external stress over current events (some of the protests are just a few blocks from where I live), and just normal daily variations, so again more simply noting what’s my current state than stressing out, or feeling like I have to change something now. I’m definitely seeing improvements so it was the right call to start, just need continue to stay positive and patient.

As far as specific changes I’ve noticed this week:

  1. My weight jumped by about 4 lbs over the weekend without doing anything too crazy in terms of diet. Even after something like Thanksgiving, my weight never changes by quite that much the next day, and certainly doesn’t stay there more than a day or two. Blood pressure has actually dropped.

  2. My ball size has remained the same, though I’ve been noticing that they tend to stay tighter/closer up instead of hanging.

  3. A small patch of acne on my forehead cropped up but it’s starting to clear up again.

I’m now done with Weeks 8 and 9. Probably the most significant change that I’ve noticed is that I’m beginning to sleep through the night much more consistently, which was one of the things I struggled with when I first started TRT. Given how stable things have been, I’m hopeful this means I’m not going to need to add anything to my protocol (i.e. an AI, HCG, etc.). When I do my labs in a few weeks and if the bloodwork comes back clean, I’d be interested in upping my dose to 200 mg and see if that gives me the boost in libido and reduced fatigue that I want. I’m also back in the gym now so I’m excited to see what kind of progress I can make in terms of strength and muscle gain.

Starting with Week 10, my sleep became a bit erratic again with me waking up once or twice during the night about half of the week. This continued into Week 11, but has started to taper off again.

I’ve started to notice a definite decrease in the size of my balls, and volume of cum. I’m really not too bothered by it mentally, and honestly I’m a bit surprised it didn’t happen sooner.

Otherwise, continuing to notice positive changes with my physique, progress in the gym, and how I feel overall. Labs are scheduled for mid-July, and I’m curious to see how the various health markers look. Blood pressure continues to remain constant.

The volume thing went back to normal for me eventually

Thanks- good to know!

Great thread! Keep it up

As of Week 12, sleep is continuing to stay ‘normal’. I’m actually waking up about 15-30 minutes before my alarm, but I’m not waking up in the middle of the night any more. Ball size has not further decreased, and things stopped hanging so tight against my body. It was never uncomfortable, but definitely noticeable. I’m really pleased with the way my physique has progressed over the past 12 weeks. I’ve definitely put on some mass while staying very lean. I still have a ton of work to get to my goal physique, but am happy with what I’m seeing in the mirror.

I just got my first set of labs back after 12 weeks of TRT. I’m probably most surprised to see the cholesterol numbers drop that much. I haven’t made any changes to diet/lifestyle that would impact that. In fact, I was probably a little looser with my diet as a whole during June as a whole.

T4 and Reverse T3 were not tested this time. I have a consult with my doctor next week so any suggestions on things to bring up/discuss are welcome! @enackers would appreciate getting your thoughts!

I would get myself on thyroid. That should help allot with wellbeing. Your TSH is very high and you really need to get that worked out. You need to check reverse t3 again and see if thats dropped.

Thanks @enackers !

My first update in about 4 months…

While I’ve been pretty silent here, I’ve still been keeping a personal log off-line. To be honest, there hasn’t really been any significant changes, good or bad relative to the trends that I’ve been reporting to date. Whether or not I’m truly optimized is probably up for debate, but the following have remained steady for me:

  • Increased strength and performance in the gym without hitting a plateau even while on a cut

  • Increased muscle mass and definition. My lower abs have never been quite this lean and seeing striations in more and more places.

  • Improved sex drive and consistent morning wood even on days where I hadn’t slept well. Pre-TRT it used to be I needed 7-8 hours for it to happen and even then it was rare.

  • Continuing pattern of acne that shows up in patches and them disappears on its own.

  • Blood pressure remains fairly steady.

  • Next set of labs will be run in April so curious to see what those say.

You wont notice signficant changes. They happen slowly and after a year or so you will notice you just feel better and everything better. If you feel good in a few months go ahead and do the labs, but after that don’t worry too much about numbers. Just find a dose that works and take that dose consistently.

By the way it sounds like its working for you.

Wow - I can’t believe I’ve let this log go untouched for so long! I have been keeping a journal outside of this post, but with some life things I just haven’t been very active on the forums here. Since it’s been a year, I figured I’d provide an update on where things stand. For the most part, I’d say the benefits I’ve seen are consistent to what I’ve mentioned in my previous posts.

Year 1 labs are posted below. For the most part things look pretty good, with a few things standing out:

  • Hematocrit is creeping a little bit higher, though I know part of that was likely due in part to dehydration.
  • HDL keeps dropping, though considering LDL is also dropping and a very low number, perhaps this is nothing major to worry about.
  • SHBG dropped quite a bit!

Anyway, if anyone has specific comments, questions, or thoughts, feel free to comment.
