That pretty much describes me until… it didn’t any more. I got an autoimmune disease at age 48. I lost 40lbs of muscle in 5 weeks, and too weak to climb a flight of stairs or get out of a deep sofa.
I dropped that philosophy in my early 30’s, and began adding life extension supplements to my weight training protocol.
At 75, a mere shadow of my former self, I still am consistent in the weight room, much weaker and smaller, but cherish my memories of my competitive days. I like sharing my experiences with members of this forum, though much has changed through the decades. I believe today’s weight trainers need to know a little history behind what they endeavor to do today.
Don’t get me wrong I do look after my health, don’t drink at all, don’t smoke, regular blood tests, need to improve cardio, but other than that I’m fairly health conscious.
I mean more in regards to, like you, I have a very strong faith - fully assured of where I’m going, so I’m not concerned when the inevitable happens, but I’m not reckless and I’m not as the kids say YOLO, just persuaded…that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. (KJV just for you!).
So if we have good genetics and respond well even to low doses of TRT, would you think maybe something like 150mg Test Cyp per week (dosed daily micro dose), 200mg Deca per week (dosed daily micro dose) , and 20mg Anavar daily could be a relatively safe stack (assuming all other factors are dialed in like sleep, diet, training, etc)?
Yes. But keep in mind that some people do get side effects from baby does of relatively safe products. But that’s pretty safe… primo instead of nandrolone might be even safer
Awesome, I’ll keep that in mind. Thanks a ton! Any thoughts on which program of yours would be best while on that stack? (Happy to buy one from your thib army site if Tnation doesn’t care if you recommend them!)
Honestly, it really depends on your personal preference and goal(s) as I don’t build programs specifically for enhanced lifters. But a higher volume approach would be fitting, so the volume-based hypertrophy plan would be a good start:
Man… F all that "aesthetic " and pleasing BS and whatever other BS they wanna throw. I have never and would never wanna be built as “aesthetic.”
I’m a Gorilla. Silverback. Idgaf, they all know. I gotta be me.
You already know you got the mass , just looks much better.
Who you want on your side in a fight? I know I’m just being stupid but you get what I’m saying??? I want the BEAST with me when shit go down. If we choosing like in a gym, I pick first. You on my team. Well, Now I’ts your team but… F that pleasing BS
I love this thread. When I started TRT I was super pumped about the gains. I tried a few compounds. Then tried some more. I had no idea really how different they were. But one thing they do have in common, is that there is no free lunch. I used to think it was as simple as having a decent program and then adding in anabolics would have me feeling and looking like Zues. Obviously there are dudes out there that can tolerate large amount of gear but I simply cannot.
