Out of curiosity i did a bloodwork, could you help me read it?
I’m 22 years old, 205 lbs, 15% bodyfat. I’ve been powerlifting for 2 years now and i was always more mascular then the average, so i thought i might have high testosterone levels, but it doesn’t seem like that. Also i was in a calorie deficit for the last 2 weeks, don’t know if that counts.
Iodine could help if you’re deficient. We need tsh, ft3, ft4 and rt3 to determine thyroid health. If you take iodine, be sure to take selenium with it. You can also take body Temps for three days, once in morning and once in afternoons around times you havent eaten, drank or worked out.
DHEA may be useful if dhea-s is low, but that’s not on your labs.
Evaluate your overall thyroid function by checking oral body temperatures as per the thyroid basics sticky. Thyroid hormone fT3 is what gets the job done and it regulates mitochondrial activity, the source of ATP which is the universal currency of cellular energy. This is part of the body’s temperature control loop. This can get messed up if you are iodine deficient. In many countries, you need to be using iodized salt. Other countries add iodine to dairy or bread.
