27 years old
270lbs 5’10’”
fairly athletic despite size. still play sports and snowboard regularly. started feeling the typical low t symptoms about 2 years ago. has gradually gotten worse over time. beginning of 2024 i started getting back on track with diet and exercise. not perfect but well above where i was. eating clean ~85% of meals and lifting 2-3x per week one day of cardio. despite this i still gradually had worsening symptoms. main one being energy and motivation. sleepy all day despite 7-8 hours regularly and more on weekends. went to doc and urologist.
prescribed natesto. fixed ~75% of issues. didn’t feel fantastic but dramatically better than before. had major nasal side effects and had to stop. urologist the prescribed 2500iu HCG mono therapy for 3 weeks. long story short, the doctor told me to take the wrong amount and when i reached out for clarification i NEVER heard back. been a month with multiple calls and messages through medical portal and even texts to his person phone in which he shared with me. overall very frustrating so basically done with the urologist. moved to Defy medical for treatment as i can’t deal with not getting a response from doc this long. only took HCG for one week before meeting with defy medical
total test: 296
free test: 10.6 (9.3-26.5 range)
TSH: 1.011uIU/ml (low/normal)
LH: 3.1 (low/normal)
FSH: 2.1 (low/normal)
estradiol tested multiple times- 40 first test prior to natesto or HCG and then 18.6 while on natesto prior to HCG
spa, cbc, lipids and all other panels were either normal or slightly elevated. some higher cholesterol that i or doc would like but nothing warranting meds or anything other than lifestyle changes. blood pressure good and mostly okay on other bloodworks.
Defy recommended meds:
T Cyp 200 mg/mL – 0.30 mL (60mg) 3x per week
HCG 0.30 mL (300 IU) 3x per week
Anastrozole 0.25 mg 3x per week
any thoughts on starting this? any concerns i should be aware of? fertility is a concern but well aware of risks. totally okay with taking shot for the rest of my life if needed. i just want to feel better. going to end up losing my job that i love and pays well if i can’t get back to normal. also don’t want to do anything stupid and jeopardize future health by taking something i don’t need. overall just a lot of information im trying to take in and it’s been stressful. looking for thoughts and insight from people way more knowledgeable than myself. any comments and advice is greatly appreciated, really!
