I’ve been on TRT coming up a year now. It’s been somewhat of a rocky journey, that resulted in me moving clinics and so far, the journey is smoother and only administering test only (cyp 1000 at 120mg split across 2 injections a week) doesn’t feel too overwhelming for my body and I definitely feeling better, compared to the test, hcg and anastrozole my first clinic had me on almost straight out the gate.
Seen some historic posts on here where people have added things like var. Once they’re past the first couple of blood tests and where there’s a big gap until their next bloods, to allow for the added (whatever that might be) to clear their system so not to screw up their blood work and have the Dr (if at a clinic) start altering protocol due to a change in bloods, due to any extras that they may not know about.
First question I have, which might be dumb. Is why add to TRT, I’d assume it’s to further enhance levels, for sport, competition or aesthetics for a period, and in adding to TRT, when the extras have stopped, the PCT is either not needed or less so? But guess you’d still experience the body in time coming back to the level it was at just on TRT, including test levels, strength, size etc?
Var seems to be common, and I have some in my stores and been tempted to add it in for 6 or so weeks. But didn’t want to do it if it’s going to totally screw with my body and to the point it causes problems with my next round of bloods (due in December)
Reason for adding it is to increase lifts, help add a little timber
I’ve done Var on it’s own before at 50mg once a day for 6 weeks and it was really good. Just never whilst on / doing TRT
From what I can see on a few forums and social media, TRT this the gateway drug to steroid use. Clinics offering Var, Deca, HGH, etc. don’t help the situation any. Guys end up thinking “it’s all TRT bro” and start to ignore some of the health impacts.
Guys do it cos they want a legal way to run gear and make those sweet gainz.
I know a lot of people saying they’re on self administered TRT protocol because they have low test. Then when they say the dosage, I’m like, that’s way about TRT. As I get mine administered by a clinic. Each to own
Im just trying to see if I want to pop a little extra in for the sake of ‘yes’ doing what would move me into a cycle, in between bloods and not get caught out on the bloods to the point my doc looks at results and says, we need to tweak
So guess I’m asking, if I do var at 50mg per day for 6 weeks, do I need a PCT, or just stop as I will continue to administer 120ml of cyp 2000 split over 2 doses a week. Or do I need to do PCT
Also, my next bloods aren’t until Dec, so if I add var in the next week or so, would I be well clear of any anomalies in my blood work by december for dr not to notice ?
I think your bloods will be fine. Orals always too about 30-45 days for me to not show and stabilize blood levels. If you start soon you’ll be done by Nov 1. Dec should be fine.
No PCT, just stop a few weeks before your blood work.
I’d also give regular ole TRT a trial until that stops working. No need to add other compounds in if you don’t need to. When the time comes, play that card.
Thanks all, some solid feedback here.
Decided not to screw things up for the sake of some extra weight on the bar and aesthetics. And just stick to my TRT protocol, since that’s not been a fun journey until I moved clinics, so don’t want to be self inflicting anything that will pose more problems with how I feel mentally and otherwise, that TRT is aimed at improving once things are dialed in
