I spent about two hours raking leaves this morning, so by the time my brother got here to lift I was just kind of in “I’ll just do some work” mode, and went along with whatever he was lifting for most of the workout. He worked up to a nice single at 315 on the back squat and then a PR of 345 on the deadlift, so things are going well for him!

Just an easy shakeout jog with my wife this AM, then spent the morning raking leaves and doing some other house cleaning. I’d thought about lifting afterwards, but I’m off work tomorrow (have to be home all day while we get carpet installed in our lower level) so I will rest up today and hit a really good deadlift session tomorrow when I’ll be fresh.

Congrats! Put the little cookies on for a 5lb PR? I like it.
There are many different philosophies to this, but I subscribe to @Alpha’s “take the 5 pound PR” thinking. High probability of any given workout ending in a PR, lets you feel that you’re making sustained progress.

Awesome log man! You seem to be pretty damn strong for a guy that just does a few things daily. Good shit my man.
Is that 88 for the KB in lbs or kg? Either way that’s beastly man. Have you thought about adding some overhead or push press to your BB line up. Seems like all you use that BB for is deadlifts and squats. Ain’t nothing wrong with that though!
I’ll be following along for sure!
