Solid squatting dude. Always admire the nice deep reps, too many people don’t do that.

Step it up a notch and use a cricket or hockey ball. That makes me weep…
Strong squatting Jab, especially beltless. All kinds of jealous!

I do this for calves, shoulders, glutes… I don’t see how it’s possible with a big ass foam roller.

Hockey ball on the quads (the inside in particular) is a very special kind of pain. Definitely worth a try, feels so good…
Thanks for the comments guys. <3 u all.
Sometimes when I’m feeling masochistic I use a softball. 'Tis anything but soft! (that’s what she said)

AM:
Missed my morning workout. Just felt generally sluggish and crap. No excuse I know.
PM:
Warmups
Bench:
20kg x 15
60kg x 5
70kg x 4
60kg x 3
80kg x 2
90kg x 1
100kg x 1
110kg x 1
120kg x 1
125kg x fail - wtf?!
125kg x 1 - meh
60kg x 20
Fuck. I had planned on hitting 125 for a double. Was baffled at the time I missed it but reviewing the video I can see that the bar travelled back too far. Hit it for a consolation single just so I didn’t feel like total shit. Bit pissed off because the warm ups were FLYING.
Pause bench:
10s @ 60kg
Meh. I realised during the twenty rep set that I have not got enough power off the chest. Too much bouncing. Need to pause bench more.
Notes:
What a shit day eh? Ah well it happens, and it’s been a very long time since I had an awful session so I can take it. Still annoying though. Can’t be arsed posting the vids up, nothing new or special.
At least it’s sunny outside and I got a whole load of writing done.
125 is a solid bench regardless. What you weighing at the moment?
Weighing in at 84kg/185lbs still. I’m definitely at a weight plateau - been eating my brains out and feel constantly sick but it won’t budge. On about 4.5 - 5k calories a day. My previous plateau was at 83kg lol fml. But on the bright side the plateau is turning in to a kind of accidental recomp and I am getting slowly leaner while still gaining strength.
It’s funny about the bench - 2 months ago I would have been over the moon with 125 for a single and would have felt like god. Now I’m gutted that I didn’t get it for a double!

AM:
Warmups: dislocates, swings
Press:
20kg x 5
30kg x 4
40kg x 3
50kg x 2
60kg x 1
70kg x 1 - felt meh
Just warming up for push press really. Still good practice though.
Push Press:
80kg x 2
80kg x 2
Second set felt much better.
Weighted pullups (Staggered between presses):
10kg x 5
15kg x 5
15kg x 5
15kg x 5
Felt pretty good.
Notes:
Got a proper early night for once and woke up feeling pretty good. Now I just can’t wait for work to finish so I can hit my second workout!
PM:
Rack Pull:
60kg x 5
100kg x 5
120kg x 3
140kg x 2
160kg x 2 - Double Overhand PR
185kg x 2 - easy
Felt great. Need MOAR weight.
Front squat:
60kg x 8
80kg x 3
110kg x 2 - thought this was 90kg and it felt REALLY heavy lol. Maths fail.
120kg x 1
135kg x 1 - 5kg PR!
Boom. Weird though. Thought 110kg was 90 and as a result I thought 90kg was really heavy and I was having a bad day - so was going to have a light session, just work up to 100kg for a long paused single. Then my brother mentioned that it was 110 and suddenly it felt light and I decided to go heavy and hit a really solid PR. Sometimes being an idiot works out?
Abs circuit:
A1: hanging straight leg raises: 8 / 8
A2: Plate round the head: 15kg x 8 / 15kg x 8
No rest between circuits. This was also pretty tough on my grip!
Incline crunches:
26
Notes:
Much better day of working out than yesterday. Felt pretty solid and energetic throughout. Definitely need to keep going to bed early! Also remembered and found the motivation to do abs for once. Ace.
Video:
Nice front squat ! Especially beltless, much respect man. You weigh like 2-3kg less then me so I really have no excuses to not start competing with you on the pressing now, haha!
Damn hit a PR on the rack pulls and then went for another impressive bro. Nice workout and loving the vids.
Great front squat. Now I have something to aim for in my “deload” in two weeks.
Solid front squatting, looks like this is going to be a very short race to 140kg…
Damn a multitude of PR`s in one session, thats hardcore man ![]()
@Jake, thanks brotha! I swear like two weeks ago you were only 1kg heavier than me? I envy your weight gain skillz!
@Austin, appreciate it dude! But the rack pull PR was cheap - the weight is light for my back, so it’s more a “grip PR” with double overhand lol.
@Samoth, lol thanks for making me feel weak ![]()
@Phlegms, cheers dude. You mean you’re close to winning? ![]()
@Florelius, thanks dude, just doing what I can!
======================================================
Workout:
Weighted Pullups:
10kg x 3
15kg x 3
20kg x 3
25kg x 3
25kg x 3
These felt pretty solid. Great rom. Haven’t done a bodyweight pullup in two weeks tomorrow!
Hang power cleans:
Bar work
40kg x 3
60kg x 2
70kg x 1
80kg x 1
90kg x 1 - felt light but my form was shocking. Called it there.
Legs came out way too wide on 90.
Notes:
Head is in a fog today (I’ve had a headache all day =/ ) but I got some work in which I’m glad about. Need an early night tonight! Also I think next week is going to have to be a high rep week, I’m feeling beaten up.
Jab1 wrote:

Sorry man. Didn’t mean it like that. I meant that I’ll try maxing my front squat in two weeks when I probably should have an easy week instead. Hence the “” around deload.
135 would be amazing but I’m pretty sure my shoulders will explode way before that.
Haha dude, I was totally joking, I knew what you meant.
You’ll get 135, I have no doubt.
==================================
Workout:
Warmups: dislocates, light swings with weights
Strict Press:
20kg x 5
30kg x 4
40kg x 3
50kg x 2
60kg x 1
70kg x 1 - this felt really hard today
Meh.
Push Press:
80kg x 2 - felt perfect
80kg x 2 - felt solid, also did a 20s lockout hold
80kg x 2 - Volume PR but lol oh dear I nearly fell backwards
I NEARLY DIED. Well not really but it was kinda scary. Note to self, only do lockout holds on the final set! On that third set my cage saved me for the first time; with 80kg overhead on the second rep I started falling backwards and would have tipped right over, but luckily fell in to the uprights of my cage and regained balance. Wish I’d got it on film!
Ring handstand attempts:
Some. I chickened out mainly because I don’t really have the floor space to bail if I need to.
Handstand pushups:
5
4 - hands on bumper plates which increases the ROM. Default PR
These felt pretty good but I used to be AMAZING at these. I was also 70kg though so ho hum.
Iron Cross partials:
5s
5s
Got a pretty good chest pump funnily enough
Reverse ring flyes:
10
Good lord these feel amazin’. Did 'em really slowly and squeezed hard.
Notes:
I’m still feeling shitty and don’t feel like I dominated this session but it looks fine to me on paper so whatever. I’m pleased with my overhead progress really, but it will never stop annoying me how slow it goes!
Tomorrow I will be unveiling my new workout schedule! Wooooo

You have some interesting training, definitely taking advantage of the equipment you have.
I tried handstand pushups with feet on a wall like 2.5 years ago and could get maybe 2-3… probably none now I’m much heavier I’d guess. I’ve always thought they would be my go to exercise if I was in jail.
jake_j_m wrote:

Haha.
Do you have an “if I was in jail” plan for everything?
@Spar4tee, yeah buddy you heard me. Squueeezzee.
@Jake, my PR for handstand pushups is like 20 reps! Couldn’t do that right now but I’ll get there again soon… I agree they’d be a perfect jail time exercise.
