eliminate gluten and dairy for 30 days, would be a good start.

Accutane is the bomb.
That shit even cured my razor burn.
Chapped lips for 6 months so I can shave with a rusty tin can lid and not break out? Where do I sign?
Wait, that’s why? I shave without water even and I’m fine, and honestly that is a change I hadn’t noticed before now.
Shit that makes me want to try the stuff. I don’t have much acne (a little on my back and shoulders at times) but I get terrible razor burn all over my neck every time I shave.
I don’t know if that’s been an observed “thing” for isotretinoin, but I’ve ran the stuff twice. First time I immediately noticed it since I used to get crazy bad razor burn, so naturally the near-immediate relief jumped right out at me. Second time I ran it specifically to get that effect again since it came back slightly ~6 months down the road.
I’ve been fine ever since.
When I was 15 I had some outbreaks due to puberty.
Put some liquid vitamin E(d-alpha is the good one I think) from a gel cap on the area, and that cleared it up.
I do think that dairy/gluten/wheat free diet is the best way to eat. That is just extremely unrealistic for me right now. I will try to eat like that once I live on my own (college).

Good luck. I took it for around 8 months and it cured my acne forever. I only get acne nowadays if I eat oranges (or similar) and it’s just a minor pimple there or there.
Why do you think oranges cause you to get pimples? Ive never heard of this before
all the acid throws off your ph, making it a healthier place for bacteria goes the theory.

I just think you are missing the point. Further, you linked a story about a pregnant adult. Zero correlation. You seem to be suggesting that all these positive testimonials are due to patient ignorance, and thus you are kinda ignored.

If all you got from that article was “pregnant adult”, I think you missed a few parts.
BTW- acidity of oranges is a bit odd, as while yes it is citric acid, in the body they are alkaline ![]()

Left Side Day 11

Right Side Day 11
Well I must say the pictures already look much better than the ones I took the first time, although the lighting is different. My skin isn’t even really dry yet. My lips are the only thing thats dry, and thats only a minor nuisance. Everything else is normal. The acne on my shoulders has improved a little bit too. My acne seemed to flare up from Days 2-9.
Forgot to mention the inside of my nose is dry as well.

Because it always happens. I don’t have any acne unless I eat oranges (mandarines, etc.) and then I will get some. Maybe it’s related to the citric acid.
I find when I stay in places with colder and dryer air, my acne tends to lessen.
Specifically, when I’m in Australia (international student) my face improves compared to staying in Malaysia, which is humid and hot as hell.
i’ve had varying degrees of acne for 10+ years. the only thing that has improved it with any certainty was cutting out dairy. i got the inspiration after reading a few things and finally this:
http://archderm.highwire.org/cgi/content/full/138/12/1584
you will notice that the author’s conclusions support her own biases and agenda as a proponent of the paleo diet - that high gi loads are a big factor in causing acne. what she seemingly fails to notice is that dairy is pretty much non existent in any of the sample diets.
cutting out dairy is not that hard. simply stop eating cheese. replace butter with sunflower or olive oil spreads. replace milk with soy milk/coconut milk/almond milk/hemp/oat milk. there are tons of alternatives. stop eating processed protein powders that are full of whey and probably plenty of dubious ingredients. chocolate was the hardest thing because i love a good chocolate pick me up. however, you can get dairy free chocolate oat milk and there are soy based chocolate bars on the market. try this for at least a month and see what happens.
i would also consider cutting out gluten, but i simply dont have the willpower to cut out dairy and gluten at the same time, and im happy with the results ive had from cutting out dairy. i break out a little any time i go back to dairy. this happens when my willpower is low - usually when im injured and cant work out and my mood is low, or drunk.

Left side, a few days ago

right side
It seems like Im getting better results than most people, which is great. My skin isnt even that dry yet. And as long as I put the aquaphor on my lips they are softer than they were before the treatment. Today I happened to wake up with 3 or 4 pretty big white heads, but thats been the only big breakout in a while. My diet has been complete shit lately. eg last night i had a double cheeseburger from wendy’s and about 20 cookies with milk for dinner. For the record I am not lifting right now due to being in lacrosse season. I will begin liting again in about a week and I cant wait. My diet will clean up a bit once I start again, but I can still eat whatever I want with no fat gain so I wont be super strict. Interested to see how the lifting goes. Ive noticed that my back/spine is more achey than usual. Hopefully takin a lot of fish oil will take care of that, since it usually helps out any joint pain I have. Happy with the progress so far.
Awesome very happy for you.
Are they doing liver function tests on you?
