About to Get Started on TRT, Help Interpreting Bloodwork

Hello all,

I’m working with a medical company and getting all my labs done, and on the road to possible TRT.

Short story of my path to TRT
3 years ago, Test levels for me were normally in the 500-700 range. No issues.
2 Years ago decided to use some testosterone (not TRT) for performance, and I messed up. Took a bunch of Testosterone for 2.5 months without any proper PCT. I’m dumb.
1.5 years to now have had an incredible amount of issues and sides. Super dry skin, zero libido (I can barely have an erection), hair thin and dry, skin changes, eye dryness, depression, low energy, you name it.
Tried to get help through GP but they said “wait it out”
Ended up doing my own blood work, CBC’s normal, and all other blood work normal, except here are my hormonal values:

Total Test = 345 in AM, 246 in Afternoon (Range 264-916 ng/dl)
Free Test = 17.1 (range 8.7-25.1 pg/ml)
DHT = 27 (range 30 - 85 ng/dl)
T4 Free(direct) = 1.39 (range .82-1.77 ng/dl)
DHEA = 336.6 (range 138.5-475.5 ug/dl)
TSH = 1.970 (range .450 - 4.500)
LH = 4.6 (range 1.7-8.6)
Prolactin = 7.1 (range 4.0-15.2)
IGF-1 = 294 (range 88-246 ng/ml)
Estradiol Sensitive = 15.3 (range 8.0-35.0 pg/ml)
T3 Free = 4.2 (range 2.0 - 4.4 pg/ml)
SHBG = 26.7 (range 16.5-55.9 nmol/L)

Any ideas or thoughts on these? Much much appreciated.

Thank you

Eye dryness is do to low estrogen, a 345 Total T is good if you are in your twilight years. Skin needs DHT as well which is converted from testosterone as is estrogen which suggest all are low for you.

You were clearly natural bobbing around the top of the ranges, most people would kill to have those levels. Ordinary doctors such as GP’s and the majority of endocrinologists and urologists are not equipped to help you, sure they could prescribe Clomid for a restart, but most don’t have the knowledge on proper expertise.

Your only chance is finding a doctor who specializes in hormones and restarts, the majority of endocrinologists are found wanting as sex hormones is not their specialty. Your GP was out of his league and is why he brushed you off.

Dr. Crisler specializes in restarts and hormones, he puts men who abused testosterone back together or gives the the best chance at recovery. Defy Medical also specializes in this field of medicine, which is a telemedicine anti-aging clinic.

Not that it matters today, but don’t beat yourself up. You didn’t do this with one ten week cycle. For years, strength athletes and bodybuilders ran 6-12 week cycles without any PCT. They recovered just fine.
