How’d he get his Bronze Star?

By shooting himself in the ass.

And I`ll never believe otherwise even if he gets a handful of them.

The difference is that I have a witness, an honest-to-God Swifty at my wife’s church. Just for starters, they didn’t call him Kerry or whatever; it was ‘sonofabitch’. This Swift Boat acquaintance could never bring himself to say Kerry’s name…just ‘sonofabitch’. It was actually pretty funny.

According to him, Kerry was a total shitbag.

bota,

You have serious problems.

This would have been a good time to back off your statement of:

"By shooting himself in the ass.

And I`ll never believe otherwise even if he gets a handful of them."

That is not only incredibly revealing, (You want to believe only your talking points), it’s also quite ignorant.

What if 1,000,000,000 soldiers/civilians brought video/documentation/first hand testimony to your door showing that he was indeed under fire and deserved the bronze star? Would you STILL refuse to believe it?

Wait, don’t answer that.

JeffR

I´ll make it easy for you.

I was replying to HH.

His standard post about John Kerry is that he shot himself to get a purple heart.

If you ask him about the other 3 or 4 he got the silence is deafening.

John Kerry has 3 purple hearts, 1 Bronze Star and one Silver Silver Star and yet the Bush camp pissed on his service record.

I decided to use his logic on him to show how mindnumbingly stupid it is.

That you do not seem to get that, shows a lot about you.

Get it now?[/quote]

We get it, its just that the logic of what you’re saying is poor. If General Patreus takes 25 years or so to accumulate all the medals on his chest, and John Kerry does so in his 4 months in Vietnam, then either he is Audie Murphy reborn (he had the most medals in WWII, which took him 3 years to get) in Superman mode, or Kerry got all of his medals through politics and horseshit. My bet is on the latter.

I do admit that politicians play tricks to get medals. Congressman Lyndon Johnson got a Silver Star (I think) for having his pilot fly for 30 seconds in a battle zone. He then went back to the base and drank himself into a stupor, as usual.

One look at General Patreus’ medals should state that this man is the real deal though. He is a hero.

With regard to the Swifty: I’d like to add that this man is a retired Master Chief, like a Master Sergeant in the Army. You can imagine his take on a prancing, east coast lib officer! LOL!!

Really?

If he was on the boat the day Kerry beached the boat chased a Viet Cong with a rocket launcher down and killed him with his M16 before he could take out the boat, a simple “thank you” would probably be enough.

Well, maybe he couldn`t handle being saved by an east-coast-lib- sissy boy with balls TWICE his size.

He’s obviously wrong and full of shit. No wonder he’s a friend of yours. As we’ve established previously, anyone who serves is automatically a Hero.

Kerry the Hero. Petraeus the Hero (note the correct spelling too.) Lynndie England the Hero.

Great method. Does ducking service by going AWOL in the National Guard count? Do we also have Bush the Hero?

Never happened. He shot a kid, about 12 years old, as the kid was climbing a fence to run from the crazy sonofabitch.

The guy was a medal whore. You honestly believe that this twit could earn more medals in 4 months than guys who were in country for 3 tours or more?

Naive.

Really?

The man with the best view says otherwise. The one operating the maschine gun, wich he could not use because the boat was, well, beached and they aimed skywards.

But some bitter old fool in your church says otherwise.

That`s first class evidence against a guy that went to fight in war though he could have dodged it like that conservative, swaggering, never worked a day in his life all hat and no cattle guy that went AWOL.

Drunk.

There was this young gentleman named Al Gore, another limp wristed wimp that went to Vietnam reasoning that if he did no do it somebody else had to, even though he did not believe in it.

But hey, he is a pussy too, because he speaks foreign languages and reads books.

Jesus, what the fuck is wrong with you?

Cognitive dissonance. Like all wingnuts.

Oh, no! We can’t have this:

http://thinkprogress.org/2007/09/12/webb-fallon/

Two HEROES! Arguing with one another. Mentions of asskissing and the labelling of “chickenshit!” I’m really torn here. For which HERO! should I root for? How can I, a mere mortal, be expected to choose among such paragons of duty and purpose?!

How can such HEROES! be divided over the Iraq war, when both are privy to all the same inside information we don’t have?!

Reality as we know it is unraveling…

Help!

Al Gore went as a journalist and was assigned bodyguards because he was a senators son.

Hmmm…I see your dilemma. I guess you’ll have to choose your heroes wisely. I’m going to stick with the retired ones.

Which still prevented someone else from going. I did not say he was a hero, just someone who does not have to prove his manhood prancing around on an aircraft carrier with a stuffed jock-strap.

That also shows though how easy it would have been for Kerry to avoid combat duty, does it not?

LOL!! John Kerry was drafted into our Army. He joined the Navy because he wanted to be on a nice safe aircraft carrier. “Uh, John,…you’ve been assigned to these things called Swift Boats.”

Al Gore went as a photojournalist. Yeah, snap those pics, Al.

You truly know NOTHING about this.

Nice read, Pookie! Good post!

Didn’t Lincoln have to fire a bunch of Generals before he found the ones who knew WTF they were doing (Sherman, Grant)?

It does happen.

I have to question Kerry because of his testimony before Congress. He had a movie camera with him and found time to film himself prancing in the jungle. Then, he accused the troops of unbelievably evil and barbaric practices. Where’s the film of THAT, Johnny?

Anyway, that’s all in the past.

We WILL win in Iraq because we will soon come to realize that we can’t conduct a ‘nice’ war. It’ll take some major disaster to make us realize that, then it will happen.
