A Tip and a Nasty Question

Tip: I know lots of lifters use coffee to get them going, but I hated the withdrawl headaches and discolored teeth. While at a local supp. store I noticed a mochachinno flavored protein mix by SciFit, had everything I needed in it so I figured why not try it out. Shit tastes great! I now add it to hot water in the morning and have done so for about 2 weeks. Really helped me kick my coffee habits.

Question: I KNOW this happens to others out there so here it goes. When i eat lots of penut butter, meaning more than one cup in day, I find myself taking the nastiest shits of my life! aka smushy and not enjoyable aka think soft serve icecream.

What can I do to take care of this? Stool hardening pill or something? I really don’t want to have to stop eating superchunk penut butter since it’s my alltime favorite food right behind blackberries. Any advice welcome!

More fiber.

Fiber chewables (Fiber Choice–at Wal-Mart) or more veggies.

Add a tablespoon of milled flax seed to that “mochachinno” drink in the morning and washdown 2 Flameout caplets. Voila! You will be back to soft serve in no time.

Milk, dairy products, often have a “water removing” effect… such that most people may find it wise to ensure they get their fiber if drinking it.

Have a glass of milk with your peanut butter?

Yeah, I usually always accompany my penut butter with one or two glasses of milk. Maybe I’ll go see my doctor and ask him haha

I like a good mix, not soft and nasty (aka a bitch to wipe) but not so hard that the edges rip your anus up on the way out.

Here is a nice breakfast recipe that will keep your crapping system in check and like clock work.

1/2 cup oats (not crappy flavored sugar oatmeal)

3 tbls milled flax seed

1 serving of powder fiber supplement

1 scoop of protein powder

  • add everything after oatmeal is cooked*

Eat, wait, poop Voila!

Haha I’ll give that a try and post up results. It usually takes 2 days of eating pb to activate the nasty terd syndrome

Your problem, most likely, has absolutely nothing to do w/ needing extra fiber, pro- or pre-biotics, milk or fluids.

Instead, just as beans or legumes commonly cause digestive distress in people b/c of a lack of the alpha-galactosidase enzyme, so too is it common for people to get GI distress from nuts for the same reason.

Though germinated, raw, unroasted peanuts contain alpha- as well as beta-galactosidase, the peanuts used in most commercial peanut butter is ungerminated and dry roasted…which as been shown to totally destroy all natural enzymes from peanuts in many cases.

Thus, my suggestion is to just take Beeno or a digestive enzyme product immediately prior to or during your peanut butter phix.

Another problem, if you’re consuming a sugar-containing peanut butter, is that the combination of a lack of enzymes and a high fructose load is wrecking havoc on your gut.
