A Slender Man's Log

If I weren’t dealing with rotator cuff tendon issues, and the doc hadn’t told me to lay off overhead pressing for now, I’d race you on the press.

145X6 overhead press video. Sorry for the poor angle, and yes it is 145. The five pound plates are just not visible because of the angle it was filmed at.

Why no lockout?

That is a lockout for me. Some people (even in the olympics) just don’t have elbows that looks like they lock out overhead.

ab pull down 2 light+1 miniX20, 20, 20

Tomorrow is good mornings, lunges, heavy abs (not sure which yet, but I am going to be moving away from suitcase deadlifts for a little while, maybe clean/pick up a couple of heavy dumbbells, and carry them, or some heavy front squat holds), and five sets of GHR’s.

Then what may be tight to prevent a full lockout?

Assume it’s everything. Musculature around the scapulae, shoulders, and elbows.

VERY GOOD day. I hit a one rep+25 pound PR on a ME exercise, used 15 more pounds than the last time for lunges, carried some very heavy weight, and knocked out some solid Natural GHR’s at the end.

I see you’re still doing my patented clean grip reverse lunges! I’m doing a pretty minimalist routine right now so don’t have them in at the moment.

Nice job on the press. I agree with spar though. Work on that mobility!

I don’t always lunge. But when I do, I rear lunge.

Also I do have some mobility issues I need to clear up. My shoulders could use more mobility, and I think my right leg is lacking some hip internal rotation mobility.
