It’s unfortunate that a lot of people panhandling on the streets for money are not homeless. One young guy that is often downtown begging for change and wearing ratty clothing I sometimes see pull out and use his cell phone! wtf?
Even before stories like this showed how correct I am in not giving stuff to “homeless” people, hell it depends on my mood, it just shows why people are more reluctant these days to give to people charities but give money, food and items to animal charities.
Animals don’t lie, steal, become two-faced or take advantage.
I only show interest in those who lose their livelihoods, have a family and are busting their ass to get back what they lost. A family with a working parent or two can pull out the stops the earn money and use whatever they have.
Bums will always be bums.
Same deal with Africa, why on earth is that place such a blackhole for money and aid. How long will it go on for?
