A Nightmare on Elm Street

My son and his girlfriend asked me to go with them. A lot of the younger people thought it was pretty good. I saw the original in the movie theater when I was a kid, girlfriend hanging on for dear life.

First off, I love smart ass Freddy Kruger. This latest guy has a somewhat blunted affect.

The second thing was the special effect with the victim in the bed and he appears to look at her by coming out of the wall. Computer generated. The original was a simple set up using lighting and plastic. It was voted that year as one of the best effects ever. Still is.

The third was I found it predictable. But you know, I am glad I went and it was fun and had a wonderful time. I found myself more excited when they were showing previews for 'Predators".

Back in the 70s, I believe, there were two movies made called Billy the Kid vs. Dracula and Jesse James vs. Frankenstein. I believe these two movies should be remade.

everything from the 70s should be remade.

what an awful decade for movies.

original Gone in 60 Seconds was one of the biggest POS movies ever.

I think they should just make movies and put the main actors in leisure suits to pretend they were made in the 70s.

No problem! Everybody I know likes it and there are plenty of fans on here who know their stuff (Angry Vader for one). I’ve even recommended it to friends, who recommended it to their friends…
