I had a few friends that gave the walk-on tryouts a shot. One guy almost made it ones as a safety, but the others weren’t even close lol. Just be sure to avoid any collisions on the field with Bruce Irvin. ;-)[/quote]
Lol. Hopefully they put me on defense too. Its my last year of college so I figured I should at least try. The only thing Im worried about is my size. Im only 5’10 190. I ran a 4.5 40 back in July so hopefully my size dosent hinder me.
Sucks. I went to tryouts on monday but i was turned away because i was ineligible as this is my 6th year of school. oh well. just ready to focus on my power lifting meet in November.
started going to pro performance in morgantown this week. the place is awesome. everything fitness related is there. my first day all i did was just snatches, cleans, and olympic squats. workout took 2 hours.
snatch- worked up to 165x1

Was suppossed to be an off day but i decided to lift with my friend. so i just did squats and sprints. I have added 100 pounds in 6 weeks ever since I started doing GHRs and learning the proper powerlifting technique. Plus squatting on a box has helped me tremendously with explosive strength.

Pretty good workout. Ive been lowering my protein intake to just 190 grams and upping my carbs on workout days to about 400 grams. Ive been getting leaner and stronger.
Theres a discussion on here about intermittent fasting thats getting nasty. Some of the more respected people on here were just ripping it apart claiming you can’t gain alot of muscle on IT.
Well you can. Back in March my arms were 16’ cold. Now they are 16.5’ cold. Thats a gain of about 7 lbs I would guess. This all happened with no increase or maybe even a decrease of my waist. I was gona chirp in but I never took any direct arm photos during this time.
Havent posted to this in forever. Still been working out thou. I have 5 weeks till my meet and Ive decided to add some speed work to my workout. I know Jim Wendler says not to do it, but you’ll never know unless you try it.
