8 Yr Old Raped, Shunned by Family

From the CDC:

This is along with the The National Research Act, which lead to the formation of the “National Commission for the Protection of Human Subjects of Biomedical and Behavioral Research” and, a few years later, the Belmont Report.

So, no. Clearly, no one gave a shit.

This shit is just disturbing. Not the actual rape, cause really nothing surprises me anymore when it comes to kids doing stupid shit, but the fact that the family doesn’t want the little girl back and don’t even care that she was raped because of their “culture”.[/quote]

why do you post this kind of shit?

Its great motivation for when you lift. Wouldnt it fire you up thinking about putting a Barbell into the fathers face for turning his back on her, then putting your fist through the boys faces?

To put this thing in perspective and to reiterate my point, I think that the father’s reaction to this is no different than other people’s culture/religion. It’s a fucked up “cultural thing” and I think we can all agree to that, but look at muslims, jews, asians and other ethnicities who come to America/Canada. They still keep most, if not all of their cultural beliefs. Muslims still practice ramadan, jews celebrate hanukkah and so on…

Point is, and I’m not defending the fucked up logic of the victim’s father, that if you came from a different country and practice a VERY different culture for as long as he probably did, this shit gets stuck and you live by that for the rest of your life.

Now, let’s say a Liberian kid grew up in the states and spent practically his whole life in America and HIS daughter was victimized by the same thing. Would he have done what the father have done? Chances are, he wouldn’t because HE grew up in America and is used to American culture.

What I’m trying to say here is, IT is one of the most fucked up thing I’ve ever came across but it is no different than being a Muslim or being American.

How about for a second we forget about which culture they came from. Wouldnt the simple fact that they are human beings who, at the very least, should have a sense of morality make them react in a very different way? I mean shouldnt it be a basic animal instinct to want to protect your offspring and do harm to anyone who harms them?

I agree. Don’t take it that I’m in any way trying to rationalize what the father did in this situation. I think the tool should be jailed along with the kids that did this shit, what I’m trying to say is if you grew up in a different place and grew up in a culture as fucked up as it may have been, your instinct is gonna tell you to go back to that.

What do Christians do when they sense danger? What do traditional women in the muslim religion wear even when they migrate to America? It’s tradition. It’s culture. No matter what we say or do, it’s not gonna change. It’s fucked up for us because most of us never even heard of this shit. But do you think Liberians are reacting the same way we are? No. Because they would do the same thing too.

It’s like trying to tell a hardcore racist to try interracial dating. It’s just not gonna happen. It ain’t gonna change man. It’s fucked up. But that’s them.

You’re saying disowning your eight-year-old daughter because she was the victim of rape is no different than being Muslim or American. Interesting argument.

No. I have no heart, so I do not care.

No. I’m saying no matter what we say or do, we can’t change the way these people think. A lot of people criticize Muslim women who moved to America because most of them still wear their traditional clothing which basically is them being wrapped in black cloth except their eyes.

And if you try and argue with Muslim people about this, they wouldn’t give a fuck. Same with Liberians who believe in this crazy shit that her father believes in. If you bring this shit up to them, they wouldn’t react the same way we do because they would do the same thing if this shit happened to their daughter.

Protecting your kids comes second to Survival. The man came from a place where if your daughter was raped, your family name is tarnished and you lose business, lose your job, are disrespected and you have no hope for survival.

If you dismiss his culture and upraising you are being ignorant to what gives him motivation.
