8 Weeks, Moving Twice Around the World

Ok, here’s the planned attempts for this Saturday:

SQ 165 180 185
BP 105 110 112.5
DL 185 200 210

or in pounds:

SQ 363 396 407
BP 231 242 247.5
DL 407 440 462

This is what I have planned in view of the current situation- bench is pretty conservative due to a slight uneasiness in my shoulders and arm from squatting high volume. I want to total.

I also have a rather low squat opener because I’d like to ATG the first squat very cleanly and give a good impression to the judges.

More to follow on moving/preparation etc.

Update- Wed Jul 15

Tomorrow I get on the road- not a lot of time left! I’m arriving in SD on friday afternoon, and will have some time to eat and prep and sleep. i’m going to cut my hair, make my drinks and food and all that other shit after i arrive. It is exciting.

I will prepare the following- not a big deal but i’m writing it out here just to be sure:

Food/Drink:
PBJ sandwiches on white bread
trail mix
M&Ms
beef jerky
Torrent+BCAAs+Glycine in a jug
Pedialyte+gatorade for post weigh-in
a breakfast thing for post weigh-in, not sure what yet, maybe a mchappy meal

Equipment:
regular canvas shoes for squat/bench
wrestling shoes for DL
socks and long socks
belt
wrist wraps
knee sleeves
nose tork
camera for self promoting video

getting ready to move… life goes on, and then san diego!

Friday, Jun 17

Arrived this afternoon in SD. Life is good, back in the Socal weather. Man, it’s beautiful here.

All my stuff is packed and there’s not much left besides sleeping and then waking up. yep, it’s simple.

WIll post my results tomorrow.

Saturday July 18!

USAPL CA state games:

4 for 9

165 (363) squat
102.5 (225.5) bench
200 (440) deadlift

1028.5 total, which was WAAAY below expectations. only hit openers for bench and squat, Having said that, the deep squat requirement killed a bunch of people and I ended up winning my weight class. I simply didn’t have the squat or bench in me today.

also, kudos to lukepropst who posts on T-Nation. I saw him lift HUGE at the meet, and it was his first meet. good work!

so… plan of attack for the future? not too sure yet, but i’m going to lay by the pool in the SD sunshine, eat some fracking food and then chill out.

meet vid!

Time to close this thread out- it was a good run, but i’ll be woodshedding it for a while.

Main areas for improvement- timing my warm ups during meet- squat depth consistency - bench strength- deadlift speed.
