Something I’ve found that really works well for insomnia is Quetiapine, just half piece of a 25mg tablet, puts me to sleep for 8 hours, sometimes more, when you wake up its easy to fall back to sleep as well, next day no side effects, take a coffee and function fine.
Its actually not an actual sleeping pill but like an anti depression medicine so not sure why it works so well for sleeping, but it is used low dosages for insomnia in some people, my sister had used it before she swore by it, she suffered from depression before and had bad insomnia, regular sleeping pills didnt work, she slept on these.
I tried it out on some nights when certain aas messed with my sleep, for me really helped get a good night rest, wayyy more effective than benzo for sleep.
I take a medication called seraquil which has single handedly solved all my sleep issues. Doesn’t get u high etc, just awesome sleep with no hangover. Makes u hungry as fuck tho so u have to go right to bed when u take it or your definitely going to fuck up your diet
Yes have tried, but when i have one of those bad nights it doesnt work for me, even benzos dont keep me asleep then, diazepam neither.
I dont use meds every day though just once in a while, i try to sleep as much as i can without, only if i have one of those real crappy nights, or when i just need to sleep at a certain time, then i might take one.
Better than benzos… there was a guy on here on gear… he was blasting retard doses first cycle… his first post was talking about how he was taking and I quote “massive dosages” of clonazepam nightly and now even that wasn’t working
Couldn’t help but think… idiot… the guy probably had NO IDEA how easily one becomes dependent on benzodiazepines (genetic do play a role though) and how hard they are to quit…
I can understand the notion of dependence formation… but addiction (as in… wanting it for a fix) to me seems strange, I’ve never found benzodiazepines to give off a sense of euphoria akin to something like alcohol.
Don’t use often if you can help it… aside from numerous commonly noted adverse effects… the induction of QT prolongation, increased risk of arrhythmia is rare but real… I’m biased here as I took trazodone at one point to aid with insomnia, one night I woke up with a racing heart rate… supraventricular tachycardia… felt horrible, was on a hefty dose of test though (250mg), but chances are it was induced by the medication known to acutely induce arrhythmia in those predisposed…
They give that to people in recovery at many of the rehabs out there. It’s effective but civilians (non gym going folk) seem to get really fat really quickly on that shit. Like all them do. It’s crazy.
Common side effect from prolonged use… There was one girl I used to be friendly with when I was very young… don’t know her very well anymore… anyway as time went on supposedly she lost her sanity (completely) and became suicidal (another aspect)… regardless, she checks herself into a psychiatric institution, she’s suicidal at this point. They put her on a regiment of antipsychotics… and she gains like 100lbs+… seriously… I see photos of her three months later and I can’t believe it’s the same person. Gone from normal to morbidly obese
Literature demonstrates a median weight gain of .42kg on these meds, but some people gain SO much more… I mean, that extra weight will take off 30 years right?
In Bojack Horseman s6, Diane goes on antidepressants… gains a fuck ton of weight… they don’t specify which type, but I can resonate with the episode in which she goes through withdrawls… I’m not going to excuse some of my stupid decisions/behavior, but I believe part of the reason I went on SUCH a bender in Europe was because I was going through anti-depressant withdrawl (the symptoms only really hit hard a few days after I got to London)… I stopped cold turkey (with the fluoxetine)… the withdrawl symptoms lasted for about 2.5-3 weeks… and it was during that time that I made some absolutely retarded decisions.
I’ve been known to occasionally make bad decisions… but within reason… TBH though I feel much better off the SSRI’s compared to how I was on them… erectile function is 100x better (can actually get an erection on command by using my PC muscle… strengthened through many days of kegal exercises… that or because I’m just young and horny.)
Yeah quetiapine sedates you but I don’t think it’s that much better than diphenhydramine because the effect comes through the same mechanism (at least the biggest part of it). And I wouldn’t be willing to take antipsychotics to sleep because of the side effect profile.
Melatonin works great for me. I have no sleep issues anymore
I Youtube 10hours of rain an thunderstorms and sleep like a baby for about 8 hours. No need to take drugs. If youre taking tren/deca you have to go full caveman and accept the need to hunt/ eat/sleep. Im not on the same boat. Just been running Test C. Sleep is the toughest to wrangle. But the sound of rain does change my nights. Try it
Yeah I seen it before too. I think the weight gain just comes from the fact it gives u insane munchies at night. I go right to bed when I take it and have never gained any weight from it.
I don’t think the drug like affects metabolism or anything like that. Just makes ppl eat
Interesting… I’ll do some research and look into this
Currently I take beta blockers to amoreliate the physiological manifestations stemming from anxiety, thus it cancels out the vicious loop of physiological → psychological → physiological effects etc
I’ve tried benzodiazepines a handful of times… without a prescription… to see if it helped social anxiety/generalised anxiety (so… abuse of prescription meds), not any time recently… they work, but they’re quite disinhibiting in nature, quite sedating… just all around not great… furthermore the established profile regarding tolerance/dependence potential makes them unworthy of more than the most acute usage… even then relying on something as powerful as a benzodiazepine as a crutch could stem dangerous
I don’t like the way benzos make me feel either.
And like I said I didn’t take Aswagandha for anxiety but the effects were crazy. Had side effects too, but they were partly pleasant. My balls grew to the size of table tennis balls with one week of use haha. Didn’t expect that either. And I took Clomifene for a while at a low dose but the Ashwagandha has way more power in that regard too. A not so pleasant side effect was the increase of thyroid hormones.
I wouldn’t like the side effects of beta blockers but if you don’t get em then good for you.
I abused the fuck out of Zolpidems when I was younger, the guy who sold gear to me had loads so I happened to purchase thousands of them. Im not sure if its related to my bipolar and anxiety issues now, but I’m pretty sure it must have done some damage.
If I remember correctly, they were 10mg tabs and some nights we used to go up to 10 tabs, 100mg. Very stupid times and very dangerous. I remember ruining so many relationships with people because I had no control over anything I was doing when high.
Have you seen wolf of wall street and the “luges” they take? If you stay awake, you dont fall asleep or black out. You get high af, more than any other drug ive tried.
my favourite drug is atenolol… great for reducing the physiological symptomatology stemming from anxiety (I’m kidding here as people don’t recreationally use beta blockers… but it’s by far the best chemical i’ve ever used… aside from testosterone)
