8/28 Restoring Honor Rally at Lincoln Memorial

Beck is a delusional theatrical piece of soulless shit. He has no education, and it shows. He’s a top-40 radio DJ masquerading as a political commentator and revolutionist.

No one with an ounce of sense takes him seriously.

The Tea Party is a joke, neither side of the aisle is fiscally responsible or gives a shit about you, get your head out of your ass.

I gather from your post that you take him pretty seriously?

How incredibly clever of you.

Is anyone else watching this right now? I’m only watching it for the fact that it’s such a hyped event, not because I support it. So yes, I’m biased, but Beck really doesn’t seem to have a real great flow to his speech here. Seems to kind of be all over the place and I think people at the event aren’t even real sure of his points given the sporadic and uncertain applause, save for all the times he mentions god. Do the Beck fans think he is doing well?

lol why the hate?

It was pretty amazing guys - just a lot (half million or so)of peaceful, caring, informed
people who love this country. A very “diverse” crowd too. Must be driving the left bat-shit crazy.

It was a long sermon. You guys love this country, as long as the country follows your ideals and your religion.

Anyway, former drug addict and top 40- DJ, admitted borderline schizophrenic and “rodeo clown” draws 500,000 easily led people.

He does an excellent job of making money off of stupid people…

“I could give a flying crap about the political process.” Making money, on the other hand, is to be taken very seriously, and controversy is its own coinage. “We’re an entertainment company,” Beck says. Glenn Beck Inc

I liked it, being all over the place showed just how real it was. A person getting up their and speaking from their heart, thats a great thing to see.

He was a top 40 dj now he has the 3rd most listened to show in the nation. I dont recall him saying anything about being schitzo, and yes we love our country no matter what direction it takes. we just want to get back to God and the founders, so I am sorry if you cant comprehind that. Anyways i loved the whole thing, and thought he did a great job. Him boucing all over the place shows his passion and the fact that he did not have a speech written, so yeah any one would be all over the place. I am sure you prefer people with teleprompters.

Really? I don’t mean to nitpick and get off topic, but this just really caught my attention. I hope you mean, “We love our country’s principles no matter what direction it takes.”

Cool story. I don’t know why you’re getting defensive. It just seemed to me that if someone were going to put so much time, energy, and money into hyping a rally, they would want to present their points in a clear and logical way. I get the fact that there were overarching themes, but I found it difficult to listen to given the disjointed nature of his speech. Being prepared and speaking well are not things that are at odds with having passion. And as far as teleprompters, doesn’t he have a television show?

Edit: It also worries me a bit when people talk about god and “the founders” as if they are inextricably linked.

Im not really getting defensive. It just gets on my nerves that some people who dont even watch him like to criticize him when they know nothing. As far as being prepared he had a bullet point list, but did not write a full speech. He wanted God to lead him in the right direction. I see your point, but I think it makes it more genuine to let your heart lead you
