It’s been 7 weeks since starting trt 100mg a week into two injection.
The first 2 weeks I was feeling good from the fact of over coming syringes and that I was potentially on the road to feeling better. In week 3 and 4 I felt amazing no fatigue so much confidence and no depression (fatigue related)
The weekend of week 4 I had my brothers wedding went a little heavy on the beers and no sleep and have paid the price of a rough patch atm, but I also have a 6 week old that is messing with sleep to.
It’s really up and down atm but more days up than down as precious trt it was the opposite. I won’t be getting bloods until week 8 so I should have a bit more of an idea of where I sit and will be able to chart everything up.
Could smoking weed everyday potentially play with how I feel? I think it is more of an enhancer of how you feel that day but that is my opinion.
Also I imagine the sleepless nights are going to be a massive contributor to thinking I’m not as they say dialled in.
Hard to say when you have no labs values to look at.
Make sure you take the full thyroid panel when you do the blood work.
And yes, daily use of weed can have negative effects on you; for me, daily smoking made me become much more tired, less motivated and things became boring unless I smoked before.
I think I know what’s going on here, your SHBG in August was 27, I’ll bet it’s lower now and this changes things as far as protocol decisions. If you think your going to benefit from TRT drinking heavy and smoking weed everyday you are bound to have problems from here on out.
You need to redo labs and see where SHBG levels are, I would also check Total T, Free T and estrogen.

Your natural production ceases around the 1 month mark. After 4 weeks you suddenly aren’t feeling as good. That’s pretty normal. By week 8 you should be feeling better than currently. Then it comes down to are you on the right dose to get to the feeling great part.
Sleep plays a major role too. I get zero good effects from TRT when I skimp on sleep. Obviously with a young child there isn’t much you can do about that.
I’m starting to feel pretty dialed in, but if I drink heavy I feel like crap for a few days after. It really seems to throw things off. I can only imagine the typical sides of TRT can be amplified from smoking weed. If your going to feel the full benefits of TRT you really need to focus on; diet, exercise, sleep and lifestyle.
Smoking weed does make alot of things more interesting, I really need to stop but just can’t, first thing I do when I get home from work is light up.
I remember shbg being low to but I was thinking from carrying extra fat would cause that to. I have lost abit of fat and still at the same weight. I’ll get all hormone panels done. For thyroid what are the crucial things to get done so I can ask the doctor to chuck em in.
I’m 6 weeks into trt. I also smoke weed daily and it doesn’t seem to have any ill effects. But I’ve been doing that a long time. I used to drink beer daily but have pretty much stopped completely. I just feel better when I don’t drink. I might have a few beers once a week at most at this point. The last couple weeks I haven’t even done that. Just don’t wanna feel drag ass the next day for a slight beer buzz. Although when boat season comes back around I’m sure I’ll be drinking in the river.
TRT for me seems to amplify every thing. pre trt if i had my diet, sleep and training dialed in I felt slightly better than normal. On trt if my diet, sleep and training are dialed in I experience confidence and euphoria like never before. Pre TRT if i had a few sloppy days of drinking and bad food i would feel somewhat bad. On TRT i feel like complete garbage… I am anxious, moody, tired, and feel like a bloated whale. You might be experiencing something similar to what i feel. I backed of the drinking a good amount and only allow myself to have horrible food on the weekends.
Testosterone isn’t a miracle hormone. It’s a wonderful helper for when you treat your body right. Anyone who drinks, eats like shit and uses pot or other drugs and and then gets on T hoping that all of a sudden they’ll be like Popeye downing a can of spinach are going to be sorely mistaken.
Get rid of the booze, cut out the weed and eat better. Take better care of yourself and watch how much better you feel on T. Or keep doing what you’re doing and enjoy the shitty roller coaster.
