65+ Training

Nice work my friend, you still hitting Plazma ?

OG, can’t do plazma anymore since the surgery. It has a warning about prostate.

I’m adjusting.

Truly a cheat day

(OG, don’t laugh. I’m chasing that 410 of yours.)

SGHP 3 x 5 @ 135, 135, 155

dumbbell rows 3 x 8 @ 80, 85, 100 (gym’s heaviest.)

Seated cable rows (both hands, for now) 3 x 8 @ 160, 180, 200
I’ll try to just do these one handed in future instead of dumbells.

Ok workout. Regaining presurgery muscle tightness.

machine lateral raises 3 x 8 @ (total) 70, 80, 80

Ok Friday workout, didn’t feel strong or weak.

I would never, Sir… I am sure you will catch and surpass me easily should you put your mind to it.

410 would be a nice lift.

Crippler, indeed it would.

How much do you weigh and are you still 65. I can see you doing 410?

Hel320, I’m 6’, 245ish, 68 & 9/10s, just resumed 4 day per week workouts from a 5 month medical layoff. Best in last 3-4 years was repping 395. I feel about as strong as early 60s, but not early 50s. Want to recapture my youth with 4 plates.

Respect. Shows us we can keep going and that age is an excuse.

Er, thanks hel320 I guess, as long as you aren’t calling me old. I expect to remain 57 for about 10 more years. That’s why I’ve taken off this week from the gym.

(I think anyone even near their life’s 6th decade needs a similar attitude. Continually pursuing above average strength helps too.)

Hats off to both of you. I’ll speak for myself, but I hope to be where you guys are at when I reach your ages. I think training keeps you young in body and mind.

Sorry, meant to say that age is not an excuse.

Just surprised, not offended. You certainly don’t use age or that erector set in your upper chest as excuses.

4/3/17 legs
