Hi guys, long-time lurker here. I’m in a bit of a limbo spot with my physique and timeline, and I’m not exactly sure where to pivot from here.
Current Stats & Protocol:
• Height/Weight: 6’1”, 223 lbs (101.5 kg) as of this morning.
• Conditioning: . Vascular Quads , lower abs vacuum-tight, and vascularity pushing through my lats and lower abdomen.
• The Diet: I’ve been slightly cutting since August, but got highly aggressive starting late October. Currently sitting in the dirt at
2000 kcals (220P / 147C / 35F).
• Training Running Top-Set/Back-Off training to hold tissue (1 heavy set of 6-9 to mechanical failure, 1 back-off set). Also running 2.5mg Reta since 2 weeks which is doing its job keeping the insulin lows in check. I could still smash on Sunday the 5000 cal carb up ![]()
The Dilemma:
I’ve reached a point where I’m not sure if I should keep pushing for more fat loss. To be completely honest, I’m just not really happy with my body proportions right now, even this lean.
The timing is also incredibly awkward because summer is exactly 3 months away.
My Potential Game Plans:
1. The 2-Week Grind: Stick this deep cut out for exactly another 2 weeks (I have a staycation coming up where I plan to reintroduce running). Start a reverse diet then, and just maintain the peeled look into summer.
2. The Pivot: Call the cut right now, start reversing, and follow it up with an 8-12 week lean bulk to actually fix my weak points/proportions, pivoting back into a rapid mini-cut right before summer hits.
Given the timeline and the fact that I’m already at 223 lbs and very lean, how would you guys play this? Are the 8-12 weeks enough time to actually change my proportions, or am I just going to ruin my summer conditioning for nothing? Appreciate any objective feedback.
Nuke my thread if the photos are too suggestive ![]()
