As said before, you look great, but your back needs work (especially the lats). You could have practiced posing a bit more.In your read double bi you squeezed your scapulae together and that really thins out the width of the back (which is the center piece of this pose). In the front double bicep, you tend to shrug up which makes your upper traps less visible and usually means your scapulae are squeezed together and not giving your lats the opportunity to pop out from the front.

Thank you for the good advice! Many of the photos were taken during my evening posing routine, so I was not being as careful, and also may not have been photographed a the the “peak” of each pose. But I am taking your advice to heart!

I found some photos from after the comp- this was at Laguna Beach. I just thought I would throw this in!
you look pretty good for your age…But i dont think you deserve a 6.7 considering im a 6. i think you could work on you back more. it looks like your mirror muscles are dominant. Big deal… just start doing back more often. only do chest once per week and do back 2 or 3 times. it will balance you out. I am currently facing the same issues. my bench is far too strong. Ever since i have paid attention to my back. My posture has seemed to balance out.

No disrespect east15bb, but I think you are discounting that this dude has 33 yrs of life on you. Post your physique in 33 yrs for a better comparison.

Thanks! I don’t rate myself, so you will have to go along with the opinions of the people who rated me. Maybe they felt sorry for the poor old guy bodybuilder! I do work my back a lot, as I stated in an earlier post (with a photo). I usually do supersets of pushing and pulling exercises in different planes, and I do deadlifts or rack pulls on a regular basis. I do a lot of weighted pull ups (varying grips) and heavy weighted dips are a favorite of mine. i do the best I can! If I can’t progress much, at least I’m trying to slow the deterioration!
It’s nice to see that theres hope for an old guy like me. I stumbled on your pics and now I know I can do it too…Thanks

Dude you look great! Ive been sick for a long time, and finally have gotten health enough to lift. I’m 42 and it feels like I’m starting all over again. Great motivation, thank you.

Hey bro you look better than a 6, so don’t hate. Being younger you are going to be getting harsher ratings. Just wait until you get to our ages and you’ll understand. You look yoked from the pic I saw.

I’m sorry to hear you’ve been sick- but even “starting all over again” at 42 or any age is never too late. I was just reading a study of putting very elderly people on a weight-lifting regimen, and they found benefit in everybody, even people in their 80’s. Go for it!

I just turned 57! Still trying to stay in shape.

If I look like that in 20 years, I’ll be fairly happy ![]()
Any plans for TRT? It would make the world of difference to your physique I suspect.
Either way, great work, you are an inspiration.

I’m glad you’d at least be “fairly happy” if not deliriously happy! I’m glad to at least be alive! My testosterone is normal for my age, or were you talking about supplementation beyond the normal physiological level?
Normal for your age probably sucks…I’m 54 and normal just dosen’t cut it.

you look great in your photos- but not that different than guys at some of the “natural” comps I have been to that don’t supplement. Have you noticed a really big difference pushing your T levels past normal?
I too am in the normal range…but barely. To me that is not good enough. The high end of normal will be ok. Not ready to be put out to pasture yet.

I’ve seen some huge muscular bulls in pastures! Some quiet grazing might do us some good!
