Just a simple question from a COMPLETE ROOKIE; would there be any benefit at all to going on test for a short cycle of 5 weeks or so? I am really just curious?
For a complete rookie - yeah there would be benefit. What dosage?
I’m gonna assume that a 10cc bottle of test dropped in your lap and you want to do 500mg/wk for 5 weeks.
You should save it, learn more, get enough gear for an actual cycle, and try again later. What’s the hurry to jump the gun?
I’m gonna take a guess and say that you weigh somewhere around 170lbs right now and you’ve been training less than a year.
I think that if you’ve been training for say 5years minimum - have already established top physical condition and your diet is top notch a cycle like that can net you serious gains that you will keep if you use the right PCT.
I don’t believe in doing “single chemical” cycles. If Merlin is right, you should wait. Why? Here are my reasons:
-
I would stack your Test with something.
-
Make sure you have ancillaries! If you don’t know what these are, don’t attempt to do a cycle of ANYTHING.
-
Five weeks on a cycle of Test isn’t worth it IMO unless it is Test SUSPENSION. I wouldn’t even use Propionate just for 5 weeks. If it’s test Suspension, that’s fine. If not, extend your cycle to 8 weeks… even 10.

And as many of us have said before, some stats would help us provide you with better, more accurate information. How long have you been training, your body weight, your AGE, are you male or female, etc.
Agree with all replies given thus far.
Re-evaluate everything. More info is needed. Hey MassN. Would it not be Ok for a rookie to get his feet wet with a little Test before he ventures into multiple compounds? If he does do 500mg/wk of a long ester Test for 8-10 weeks and has the appropriate ancillaries, (which he will need), do you think that is a safe way to begin his journey with AAS? He might kill someone if he is sensitive to Test and God forbid if he stacks several compounds together and cannot handle it properly.
Dear Rookie-
Let us know your mental state before you ask about AAS? That would be most beneficial to us all. If you are a hot head and get angry easily…do not do anything at all. As Merlin would say, “That’s my 2 cents”.
Take care-
The Scorp
Thanks for the quick replies
Merlin, you are pretty much right on the money, except for the ?been training for less than a year part,? I have been training consistently for almost six.
BC, my diet in pretty much right on, I have gotten it to the point where I can more or less reach my goals, as far as leaning out is concerned, through it?s manipulation. My main problem is gaining mass, even following a massive eating caloric intake I seem to stall out around 185.
MN; I do know what ancillaries are, and have actually read up a bit on usage, though I still feel that I do not know nearly enough, hence my post, and my stats are as follows. I am a male; 5?11, 176 pounds with btw 7-9% body fat. My primary lifting style has been of the power/oly nature, though I do give my CNS a break for time to time by following a strictly structural program.
Oh, and Scorp, my mental state is fine, in fact I am usually the one who tries to break up the fights not start them.
Thanks again, K
Maybe try the German Volume Training if you need through plateaus. Maybe train for hypertrophy. You can train for power your whole life and be one strong MF’er and not gain a lot of mass.
If you have been doing powerlifting and olymic lifts for the last 6 years then you probably do have a good strength platform to start to build some quality mass. However I think( key words being “I think”) at 5’11 you have another 10 to 15lbs to gain through some hypertrophy and clean obeasse eating before you go to the dark side. For the record do what you like I am still a novice compared to many and just voicing an opion. Good luck with what ever you decide as long as you do enough research.
GET BIG.

Merlin is correct.
You could also just do 2 shots a week for 3 weeks and then take one shoot for 4 more weeks.

Scorp,
I wouldn’t suggest “several” compounds/chemicals for a rookie. At this point in my bodybuilding “career” (yeah right! LOL), I am finally venturing off into several chemicals at one time.
What I am suggesting is that Kitsune do at least one other chemical. If he is taking an androgen, such as the Test, then I would include an anabolic. For all rookies and newbies, I’ve always suggested using 2 different drugs at one time, no more, no less (not including ancillaries). Another suggestion would be to use ONE injectable, and ONE oral.
With that said, we’d be looking at cycles such as Dbol/Deca, Test/Winny, Anadrol/Tren, etc. I believe the returns you get from using one chemical wouldn’t be as great as using two. Most drugs, when appropriately stacked together, will have a greater synergistic effect. Good luck.
Thanks for all the great info, guess I have a bit of thinking and reading to do.

Take the 5 week test stack just to find out how you handle it. Worry about stacking other compounds for your next cycle. RLTW
