WHAT!
Kathleen Laquale, a licensed nutritionist and certified athletic trainer. “The body can only break down 5 to 9 grams of protein per hour, and any excess that is not burned for energy is converted to fat or excreted, so it’s a ridiculous waste to be recommending so much more than you really need,” she says.

Don’t start this again,… everyone else already ripped on her and realized they should ignore her ‘writing’.

shit like this is discussed and ripped to shreds on a weekly basis.
Yes, and we know this, but she is quoted in the lastest Consumer Reports in an article bashing the protein supplement industry under the ruse of exposing a few companies for selling products with heightened levels of toxic metals. There’s a thread about it that you should be able to find pretty easily if you care.

See this link and scroll down for her picture. This is someone who should be talking about ANY nutrient intake (NOT!).
We need more ‘public’ statements that de-bunk this shit. It’s annoying when I talk to everyone and tell them they need at minimum 1g/lb bodyweight of protein and they quote crap like this.
