The 5th point I had my dr write out on a script for my wife. She looked at it and said “enjoy your hand” smh!
Wtf dude. That’s fucked
Yeah but we are older, she’s 58. I guess her days of everyday are long gone, lol!
Update: Got labs back yesterday and PSA is down to 1.8 Total Test 312. Metabolic and CBC were all in normal range. Going back to urologist on 12/4
Bro stop screwing yourself. Go to a real hormone doctor. Urologists are ruining you. Go join danny bosses group and ask the docs there. Jordan grant is a urologist in Texas but knows hormones. He keeps men on trt when they have issues because it’s realized trt is healthy.
I personally would want my health. Lowering hormones because of prostate issues is mind boggling.
Inter prostate DHT and estrogen levels are not effected by blood serum levels. Study’s have shown as such.
Imagine you had crippling ED and came home and said, “sorry, enjoy your vibrator”
Sorry man…thats just awful.
It’s most likely BPH, but still if it causes urological symptoms you should take care of it. Listen to your physician, she/he knows what to do.
It’s ridiculous that some here believe they have the answer to your problem and know it better than the urologist at a university clinic.
Make sure to read this article, it’s free to access

Can you link those studies, would be interesting to read.
@johann77 He wanted to say once they are saturated which happens at ver low levels of t and DHT the further increase cannot add more to the prostate. Abraham Morganterl who is a brilliant urologist and knows how to do TRT properly stated that and cited studies in his lectures some of them are on youtube.
The urologist this guy uses does not seem qualified in hormone therapies and will let hims suffer out of fear of what he does not know
She might consider bioidentical hormone restoration therapy. It’s been great for my wife.
Yes that’s true, but that’s different to his statement.
And I am confident that both of his urologists know that theory.
And keep in mind that the androgen saturation theory is so far a theory, although a lot of data seems to support it.
On the other hand an initial increase in PSA is reported in many studies, so if the receptors are saturated already in a status of hypogonadism why would the prostate volume and thus PSA rise initially? The theory has its flaws.
PSA is a bad tumor marker. But if hypogonandal men already have cancerous lesion before starting TRT, they have a higher chance of having an androgen depend type of cancer with an unfavorable prognosis. That’s why every PSA rise in connection to TRT has to be taken serious if it doesn’t plateau after 6 months or so.
In his case there seems to be a clear correlation between TRT and continuos rise of PSA. As said most likely benign, but still he wants to be able to pee also in 5 years.
My source is a urologist ans I’m sharing this with him so he can tell you how incredibly horrible this is. Continue dishing out bad advice because docs must know it all.
Yet again. You are trying to enter into an argument you have no clue what you are talking about. You are ruining men’s lives by telling them to get off HRT when they have prostate issues.
I see the men up above already showed you how and why you should stop trusting run of the mill doctors when it comes to hormones.
You made statement so I ask you to provide the evidence. Again I am asking for a scientific study published in peer reviewed journal. Not hearsay.
I back my statements up by providing the links to the studies. I bet you either haven’t read or didn’t understand a single of those references.
Not even mentioning that I encourage him to listen to his 2 treating physicians whereas your conclusion is that those 2 physicians are not right without having any information whatsoever about those physicians nor about his exact condition,
That’s bro science, bigheaded and dangerous.
@johann77 For what I support @enackers is that Im not confident these two doctors fully understand the effect of TRT on prostate cancer.
I will put it this way. If I were in this situation and conventional urologist or endo tell me to stop TRT I woudlnt listen to him. Experience has proven me these doctors do not understand TRT. I would go to look for a dr like Morganteler or himself exactly no matter how much does it cost and will do whatever he tells me not the average joe clueless doctor.
This judgment is a reflection of the Dunning Kruger effect
Can you further explain what you mean?
You say that most doctors are not totally incompetent in hormones, especially endos?
Do you have any thoughts on free PSA %?
