Good question.

Lol…wow UtahLama nice of you to place the stereotype on me my friend. We where going hunting fellow Lama. Also my head is too big for a hat. And before you paint another steroetype Im an American, I will say kill Mexi before American.
So please quit making fucking assumptions.

Dude, no stereotypes bro…you said that you were packing heat, because the evil whitey was GONNA GIT YA!

You are the one perpetuating the stereotypes, Latinos are just as racist towards whites as visa versa…You were far safer in Northern Idaho than I would be walking around Southeastern L.A.

Now this is interesting to say the least. I find it confusing, nay, astounding that you still allow this sort of thing.

And by this sort of thing I mean, why do you still let Mississippi vote?[/quote]

Media take out would like a word with you about racial harmony.

I was packing heat cause Im an American and because I was going hunting. Also as an experience we Hispanics will unite with the Anglos before any other race. The problem lies in the democrats trying to steal or should I say buy the Mexican vote through welfare like they have done the African Community.
Come down to Texas Utah and you will see the real Hispanics…not the wangsters or them wannabees. Mexican and American values are the same, though they have been changed through the media.

A strong sense of family and religion…yes.

I think you missed my question at the end there.

Still allow what? Unpopular opinion, no matter how bad?

It no doubt does. But it would be hard to argue that the media hardly reports on stories of the above type. This may just be me but it seems whites in the U.S have this hush hush about other races when it comes to anything negative against them.

It might, although I’m sure if smth like this happened the other way around you’d hear about that “awful hate crime” on the news. Same goes for “beat whitey night” in Iowa or “beat the white kid” day in Ohio. I haven’t heard of such incidents with roles reversed, have you ?

If they would go and ask this same question in black neighborhoods they’d probably get 90+ % of respondents saying they are against interracial relationships especially when we’re talking white dude and black chick.

I think what can be agreed upon is that most everyone has a thing against jews. From all my experiences with blacks, mexicans, whites (non-jewish), even asians, it seems a lot of people have issues with jewish people. For the record I’m baptist, not jewish. Anyone else seen this?

Just received my new Playboy today, and there was a letter to the editor regarding last months Playboy interview with Lamar Odem of the LA Lakers…from a African American lady named Kaneesha Worsham, I quote…

“As an African American women I almost wept reading the Playboy interview with Lamar Odem of the Lakers (February). Once again a prominent black male marries a white women and plunges a dagger of indifference into the hearts of his black sisters. How can he speak with love and sensitivity for his wife while figuratively slapping all black women in the face?”

But the whities in Mississippibanf the Tea Party are the racists? If a white women wrote the same letter would it have been published?

The above quote is bat shit crazy. You love who you love. He loves her. He aint slappin all black women in the face. Publish her stupid letter to the editor and send her lonely ass a round-trip ticket to the next black panther rally. Racism is racism. Fuck anyone that harbors that poison. Lonely bitch.

Where the fuck is the good Rev Al Sharpton and Keep-Hope-Alive Jessie Action Jaxsun when you need them? Let a white man do this and it’s fucking national news. Fuck them little animals. They don’t look so tough getting sentenced do they? Let’s all hope they get their assholes stretched and violated and they learn to give good head in the joint.

Blacks in the delta are much more racist than the whites and in many places are the majority. I’m willing to bet these number against interracial marriage have more to do with the black community than the redneck one.

And if people in this thread actually knew anything about some of the conditions, culture, and schools these people are subject to, you wouldn’t be making fun of them. There is nothing funny about it.

Agree, but the difference is this letter was published in a mainstream magazine. And not an eyelash was blinked by anybody.

People LOVE to point out how racist the Tea Party is and Southern whites in general, my point is the same percentage of blacks and latinos are just as racist as their white counterparts. But liberal white guilt keeps the media from treating it in the same manner.

They are actually way more racist then whites, partially due to the fact that their racism is being tolerated if not promoted. Compare public perception of “Black Power” or “La Raza” vs. “White Power” for example.

Those sentiments may be the same, in one sense, but entirely different when taken in context.

For example, if I make a “Yo mamma” joke to someone whose mother is alive and well, and is a friend, it is entirely different than making that same joke to a stranger whose mother recently passed away. Same joke, same words, entirely different reaction and meaning.

White people have a lot of advantages in America. Nonwhites have equal disadvantage. So, when whites are faced with isolated incidents of racism, it’s qualitatively different than when nonwhites are faced with similiar incidents. Same with a news broadcaster risking offending whites vs offending nonwhites. The whites generally dont care - because their experience isn’t one that breeds sensitivity on racial matters.

Of course, none of this excuses what happened in the video or ANY incidents of racism - all are equally to be condemned. But it does explain why the same incident gets different reactions based on who is in what position.

I’m not trying to analyze the “whys” of the situation.
It is what it is, I don’t really care why it is less safe for me to hang out in a black neighborhood, I just know that it is and act accordingly.
And if, heaven forbid, situation arises and I need to react forcefully the last thing I’d be thinking of is “why” the shit goes down the way it is.
