Why couldn’t she realise this 3 years ago when she was 250 pounds and 3 to 4 times the size of all the other children her age at school or wherever??She gluttoned herself up to 400 and then realised she needed to change.But she was fine getting herself to that size.

You see this is my problem.I hate people like this because their healthcare which is completely self induced costs money,but in places like America they tend to be able to afford it because they have enough money to balloon themselves up to that size in the first place.
I want Americans to stop being so selfish and realise that working class people cannot afford the healthcare they need in the system that is in place at the moment.Not everyone can have a white collar job and earn a decent salary,it’s nothing to do with being lazy,there just aren’t enough jobs there.

People realize different things at different times and sometimes never. Different people have different life experiences. I am not condoning her getting to that size, but at that age, where you end up and who you are has a whole lot more to do with those you see as role models/authority figures and the environment you are in. At least she realizes it is a lifestyle change at 14, as opposed to 24 or 44 or 64. You’re 19. I am quite sure those of us who are older could sit back and analyze and bitch about stuff you may or may not have done to yourself, but at my age, you realize all the anger, hostility and focusing on something you can’t change is pointless.
And given the fact that most people are overweight, she may NOT have realized it was an issue until she got big enough for people to start picking on her.

Anyways. Me and my sister used to be obese as well, thanks to our obese parents, so I know what I’m talking about. I know it’s tough, but we weren’t the lazy losers like most people out there, we worked out and started eating healthy when we noticed our bodies.
Getting onto a threadmill isn’t a difficult thing to do? it sure is if you’re 400lbs at 14 years of age, but getting up and doing a couple of sit-ups ain’t beyond anybody, at least walk as much a day as you possibly can.
Switching to healthier meals couldn’t have been that bad of an idea for neither her parents or for her, either. It’s like she just gave up and is relying on other people to get her healthy.

What you don’t understand is that the human condition is fatally flawed. Her flaw is evident for all to see. Your flaw is within you and occasionally spills in the form of hatred, this time toward a 14 year old who was obviously brought up wrong relative to diet and exercise.
Yes, she needs to do something about it, but you too need to do something about your hate and judgmental attitude toward a teenage girl who is probably even less happy than you are.

He goes to Huntington, WV (the most unhealthy town in the country) and tries to re-do their school breakfast and lunch program. These kids eat pizza for breakfast.
