I only inject once weekly… I can inject once every two weeks and feel fine too
Why inject once weekly if you feel fine at every other week?
Because then I’d have to inject exorbitant dosages e2w, vastly supraphysiologic peaks induce
- more autonomic dysfunction
- increase chance for haematological alteration… which at the moment would actually be preferable, but potentially deleterious long term
A HCT of 50-54 percent may not matter… but if it were to raise to say 60%… that’s risky
Ahh ok, so while you feel fine on less frequent injections you prefer more frequent injections.
Yeet! Exactly
That’s exactly why I do daily shots.
I’m about eight weeks in with 200mg TC once a week, 500 IU HCG twice a week. However, the injection before my bloods I actually used 300 mgs and had a couple troches during the week in the lead up to the lab draw. I must have some guilt deep inside and want to “get caught” lol.
My doctor was surprised my total T number was so low and we discussed upping to 220mg TC once a week. I’m on the fence because I feel pretty good right now.
Around three weeks ago I started taking 6 mgs of boron daily for no reason other than people around here seem to find it beneficial.
Much thanks to @highpull regarding 300 mgs daily of vitamin B6. My water retention went way down. Maybe it would have anyway, but it gave me peace of mind and no side effects.
Another big thanks to all of you who weighed in on dropping the AI entirely. As you can see, my E levels didn’t skyrocket.
And finally I’d like to thank the Creator who blessed us with this wonderful molecule! I haven’t felt so sharp, driven and energetic, yet calm and content since high school. The experience of waking each morning has transmuted from the anxiety of stepping into a fight totally outclassed, to tingles of anticipation knowing I’m going to overcome every challenge laid before me. The improvement of my mentality cannot be overstated.
You injected 300mg before this draw, and also added other T supps, and only got to 800? How long after the injection was the blood draw?
Injected 200mg friday, 100mg saturday, tested that next Friday morning.
My SHBG, which was already low to begin with, has gone down. I’m not clear on how that may impact metabolism of the TC.
I’ve brought this up before and didn’t receive much feedback, but my doctor asked me about my exercise levels. He said that exercise increases the rate at which the T is used. I was already exercising 4-5 times a week as hard as I could in a vain effort to trim out and “man up” with hypogonadic levels. Since starting TRT I’ve predictably been able to push even harder.
I would say you are a hypermetabolizer. That is a significant amount of Test.
Those were his exact words.
As @dbossa says, we should treat symptoms, not numbers, and I feel great with an 805 total T at 200mg/week. I was considering going to twice weekly, but two weeks ago everything snapped into place and there is no more end-of-week dip.
I saw my urologist for a cancer checkup and he told me once-weekly is preferable to twice or more, if the patient can handle it. His point seemed to be that the amount of time per weekly cycle with very elevated levels is more important than how elevated those levels are. That is, 4x normal one day is less taxing than 2x normal two days, if that makes sense.
My thought process is: 200mg seems to be the clinical top end, and if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. I doubt I can feel better than I currently do.
You only came back at 800 because it had been a week almost since your last injection and you have low shbg. It was surely much higher than that earlier in the week. Which is fine, IMO, but 800 was certainly the minimum and not the average or max.
Did they not test free T? I would imagine it’s up there with shbg that low but thought I would ask.
I avg about 1400 on 200mg weekly… my nadir probably isn’t even below 1000ng/do
I understand that, but:
This I what i was expecting to see. Especially since I bumped to 300mgs and had some troches that week. I assumed my minimum would be far higher.
The full labs are above. At any rate, I’m feeling great. I don’t think I’m going to increase to 220mgs per week.
What role can boron play? Any reason I should stop taking it?
“What role can boron play? Any reason I should stop taking it?”
There was a post last year by a fake doctor saying he gave it to all his patients. It has been questioned since and not sure anyone has proven any validity to it.
If it isn’t hurting anything, I’ll just finish my bottle.
Im on the same track.
