You poor brainwashed fool, they were the same person.

Wait, so you actually still believe that they existed?

Hoo boy, we got ourselves a Ghandlee denier.

I thought they called him Bruce Dhee

tim-and-eric-mind-blown

I believe actually ends, “the most you can hope for is to die in your sleep”. Probly not the best advice for a depressed person haha

I mean in a long enough timeline isn’t this the best scenario for everyone?

No one makes it out alive

Tyrion Lannister would disagree.

Thanks, feels good to see some compassion. Like others have said here I know that others have had it far worse.

The sad fact is that I liked being married, but we couldn’t have kids and when my mom got sick and then slowly died it put a lot of pressure on the marriage and it broke us.

I also used to really like my job, but I accepted the promotions thinking I would “man up” and give it a shot. It’s just not me. Sure I’m capable of managing people and projects but I like building shit on my own. That’s my form of self-reliance.

You are correct. But I don’t take offense at the other examples, it never hurts to pay respect to those who have struggled and triumphed and I do find some comfort in that.

I appreciate the gesture from those who have shared their stories.

Thanks, I appreciate your input.

If you watch this video “Life Lessons from 100-Year-Olds” nobody regrets not closing that deal or taking the promotion. They regret not spending time with the people they loved.

why would your grandparents laugh at that?

I can’t stand half my generation, and definitely not the Gen Z kids just as much as anyone else but when the goddamn boomers come talking shit in my ear that’s when I really fume.

so, like let’s be real here your grandfather probably bought a nice house and supported his family with a job at the local factory folding boxes. da faqqqqq.

they also didn’t have to contend to 24 hour news rage, dopamine blasts, and blue light disease. they probably slept peacefully, got to see the stars, and weren’t in debt for 75% of their adult lives.

Fucking boomers.

That’s a great story and I have the utmost respect for your grandfather.

It’s not a weird way, you’re just not accustomed to it being put that way.

“The goal is to get five rounds and thus 25 reps with each exercise.”

This feels like the very definition of “a weird way to put things”

And that article doesn’t really back you at all.

They didn’t expect happiness. They didn’t expect wealth. My Irish grandfather was a sanitation worker who lived in a basement apartment, drank, and beat the wife and kids (my father). The Jewish side was more affluent (owned a lighting store), but apparently my grandmother went crazy or something and was sent away. I never met her. Substance abuse? Mental illness? Who the fuck knows. She was dead before I was born and my mother died before I was old enough that she was willing to talk about it.

But I’m off to Europe tomorrow for 12 days and I have to think about clothes, so I can’t talk about this anymore.

Well that’s nothing compared to @greenboy who has to put up with “boomers talking shit” in his ear. I don’t know how he copes, what a hero.

Stop, you’re just being immature. The author literally uses the term 25 reps when referring to 5x5, just as I did. It’s the exact same usage.
