I picked up the wheels after some haggling. They are in pretty good shape and I think they’ll look great on the car. I ordered a set of summer Michelins to go with them and they should be in Monday or Tuesday.
Beautiful wheels, and please post pics once you get them installed.
I’ll get some pics up when I get them installed. I’m pretty excited. I also had the hood and front bumper repainted; then I clay-barred the rest of it and double-coated/carnuba waxed it. She’s looking pretty darn good right now.
That’s a great wheel, looks a lot like the BBS CH.
I’m in the middle of rebuilding (as in, they’re sitting on my dining room table) my fourth pair of 3 piece OZ for AMG splitties, just like the pic. If you’re car were a bit older, I’d offer them to you. For a price, of course, lol.

Terrific wheel; they’re going to look great on your car.

That’s the Hammer, right? I love that car.
lol, trying to determine what exactly is a “Hammer” among MB enthusiasts is like arguing over what Dorian Yates’s actual steroid cycle was on a BB forum.
The problem is, the Hammer designation was first used by an auto magazine to refer to the W124 (E-Class) sedan that received AMG’s 6L (up from 5.6) V8. After that, no one really knew what made it a Hammer. Was it the 6L engine? DOHC? The wide-body kit? The duckbill? Generally, the term refers to either the W124 or the W126 (560 SEC, eg) chassis with a 6L engine upgrade. Widebody kit is optional, but does come standard if you’re a drug lord.
By all means try Craigslist as well. I’ve sold wheels on both, and here’s my experience
The average Craigslist buyer has an IQ lower than their shoe size.
They will have no idea what size wheel fits their car, but will expect you to know
They will offer you %30 of whatever you want, even if you specify that your price is firm.
They will not show when they make an appt to see the wheels
They will ask you if you have the same wheels, but in a different size or lug pattern
They will ask you to deliver the wheels to some place 50 miles away.
They will ask you to ship the wheels to another country.
They will show up with 8 friends, 4 of whom will try and kill the deal because some dude they know has the exact same wheels for sale for $300 less.
There’s a pretty strong PNW VWAG scene, so the chances of getting a local buyer are decent and at least you don’t get all the tire kickers (see what I did there!) that you would on Craigslist [edit] if you list them on VWVortex.

Too funny.
It’s all true too. I love when they combine #3 and #6
