37 Y/O, 253 Total T. Is Treatment Necessary?

Went to my PCP a few weeks ago due to my paranoia of hair loss; my family thinks I’m crazy and just don’t see it. I guess my doctor kind of agrees with my family but decided to run some blood work to shut me up. Anyway, PCP advised I had an abnormally low T level of 253 with a free level of 5.1. Went back a week later, early morning, to re-test with similar results. Dr. also ran a few other basic labs including a metabolic and iron panel with no issues. TSH was borderline high but within limits.

My question is, other than my personal struggles with hair loss, is TRT really necessary? I feel great with no sexual issues. Is there any damage I could be doing to my body by keeping my levels this low. Thanks in advance.

Treat the symptoms and not the numbers, hair loss is thyroid related, start there first. Treating the numbers with no symptoms is pointless, what would you hope to gain?

It probably means you’re very sensitive to androgens, your androgen receptors are very sensitive. Your like my father, in the 300’s with no symptoms, his muscles are hard at 84 year old.
