35 Yrs Old, My TRT Story

Below I’ve attempted to summarize my experiences before and during TRT. I’ve included some labs, my protocols, and how I felt before and during each protocol. I’m still in the process of fine tuning… mostly to get E2 in check.

Baseline Labs (8:30 am):
Total Test: 238 ng/dL (348 - 1197)
Free Test (Direct): 5.8 pg/mL (8.7 - 25.1)
FSH: 1.3 mIU/mL (1.5 â?? 12.4)
LH: 3.1 miU/mL (1.7 â?? 8.6)

Physical Attributes:
Height: 5â??9â??
Weight: 170 lbs
Body Fat: 12%
Very little water retention (Good)

How I felt:
Mood Swings
Low Energy
Low Libido

1st TRT Protocol:
200 mg Test Cyp injected once per week
0.5 mg Arimidex taken twice per week (1 mg per week total)

Lab Results from 1st TRT Protocol (8:00 am at trough):
Total Test: 1230 ng/dL (348 - 1197)
Free Test (Direct): 33.7 pg/mL (8.7 - 25.1)
Estradiol: 39.5 pg/mL (7.6 - 42.6)

Weight: 188 lbs
Body Fat: 10 - 12%
Retaining water in face and mid section (not great)

How I felt In comparison to baseline:
Positive effect on mood. No more mood swings. Motivated, excited about things again. Laughing more.
Significantly increased libido!
More Agression
Much Higher Energy
Much More Strength
A little anxiety at times, more sensitiveâ?¦ maybe high E2 (39.5)

2nd TRT Protocol:
80 mg Test Cyp injected twice per week (160 mg total per week)
Arimidex: 0.5 mg twice per week (1 mg total per week)

Goal: to reduce E2 and maintain high-normal total/free T.

Weight: 184 lbs
Body Fat: 10 - 12%
Slightly less water retention in face and midsection (better, but not ideal)

How I felt in comparison to baseline:
Positive effect on mood. No more mood swings. Motivated, excited about things again. Laughing more.
Significantly increased libido!
Much Higher Energy
Much More Strength
A little less anxiety than first TRT protocol. A little less sensitive. More so than baseline though. Better than having mood swings.

Lab Results from 2nd TRT Protocol (coming soon):
Total Test: ---- ng/dL (348 - 1197)
Free Test (Direct): ---- pg/mL (8.7 - 25.1)
Estradiol: ---- pg/mL (7.6 - 42.6)

Looks good…
Your E2 would be lower if you injected more than 1X a week
Can’t wait to see new bloods…

Can you give an idea of when you inject vs when bloods were taken ?

Thanks Macmathews. I was hoping twice a week injections would lower E2 and reduce some of the sides. I feel like it has, and I’m hoping the blood tests confirm the lower E2. I’ll probably post labs in about two weeks.

I do the blood test a couple of hours before my next shot of T. So when I was doing one shot a week on Friday morning, I had my blood drawn Friday morning before the shot. I understand this is the measuring the lowest level (trough) and is the standard method.

So you can imagine both your t numbers as well as E2 were higher say 2 days after injection , when compared to day 7 blood work.
I would think your numbers will be close to the same with less ups and downs, since you are testing closer to injection

BTW - I like your layout , logging mood , method, ect.
How long did you run the first protocol before blood work… In other words how long have you been on trt ?

Thanks. I know I didn’t post all the recommended labs and personal information. I tried to keep it as simple as possible by at least including the info that seems to be most important to me. If there is anything else I could include that might help paint a better picture, pleas let me know.

I’ve been on TRT since Oct 2014, so about 6 months. I started the new protocol about 3 weeks ago.
