35 YO with Low Testosterone! (Blood Results)

Im a 35 year old male with low T. i have bad depression, bad anxiety, agitation and i royally hate how i feel. i find it hard to gain muscle im 5 foot 9 and about 215 pounds fat not cut. i suspect ive had low Testosertone ever since around age 20 but deffinitley in the past 5 years my Testosterone has been low showing “serum final levels” of only 6.L and it says on my lab results the reference range is 8.4 - 28
also my prolactin is at a level of 2.8L and reference says 4.0 - 19

so whats the best type of injectable T that i should be using? i am a noob in this feild but i want to correct this and get well mentally and physically. here are my full results can someone shed some advice on whats wrong here or any help? my doctor is pretty useless i had to beg for these results.

Ferratin serum final - 148
Thyrotropin serum final TSH - 1.28
Follitropin serum final FSH - 3.8
Lutropin serum final LH - 3.3
Prolactin serum final - 2.8L
testosterone serum final - 6.1L

Most cases of secondary hypogonadism are from diabetes, metabolic syndrome and or obesity.

As for the low prolactin, smoking and hypopituitarism can cause low prolactin.

You have a disease and treatment is TRT. Restoring your natural T to the point of you feeling optimal is most likely not possible.

T Cypionate and T ethanate is the most popular, both of which offer a great deal of control compared to longer esters/half-life. Topical gels and creams more closely mimic the natural circadian rhythm with oral T coming in second.

You may not have access to all available treatment options in countries outside the USA.

What does your diet look like? You’d probably find yourself feeling much better if you leaned out.

Test is not a cure all.

When u tried every SSRI and antispychotic under the sun but ur t is low than yes fixing t can help you mentally. Low T is a big cause of depression and anger issues

Not disputing this, merely that test won’t singularly fix all these problems and going into TRT thinking it will, will only lead to disappointment.

That’s incorrect info. I personally know many people who have been in the same boat and there mental health issues stemmed from low testosterone. That was the culprit to there depression and anger. You do realize that testosterone creates dopamine, seratonin, gaba and other neurotransmitters right? So yes try and fixing low testosterone can potentially be the sole reason for there mood disturbances. Anxiety, depression, agitation are very common causes of low testosterone

I know, not just the men either. Hormones can have a huge impact on the psyche. I’ve seen many come off medications. Does it work like that for everyone? No. You’re entitled to have more than one thing wrong, however, sometimes, one thing can cause many problems.

That is the normal range, the healthy range is over 550 ng/dL according to multiple peer-reviewed papers.

Defining “Healthy” Testosterone

Multiple peer-reviewed papers state that “testosterone deficiencies” are more prevalent and “desirable testosterone” levels in men are actually much higher than what is currently being considered as “normal” in doctors’ practices across the country. Case in point: A cross-sectional study of Swedish men ages 69 to 80 years showed the risk for premature death from any cause and the risk for suffering a major cardiovascular event were inversely correlated with the total serum testosterone concentration (i.e., the higher the testosterone levels, the lower the risk of death).

Specifically with regards to cardiovascular events, men in the highest quartile of testosterone (at or higher than 550 ng/dL) had a lower risk of cardiovascular events compared with men with lower testosterone.

More importantly, details from this study show that it did not matter if a man’s total testosterone was very low (below 340 ng/dL ) or moderately low (up to 549 ng/dL ) – all men with T levels below 549 ng/dL had a similar increased risk for suffering a cardiovascular event. Only when total testosterone exceeded 550 ng/dL did cardiovascular risk drop.

This is truly alarming, as cardiovascular disease is the No. 1 killer of men in the United States and even more – this study was published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology. These researchers documented a 30 percentreduction in cardiovascular events as well as a decrease in cerebrovascular disease incidence. Men with the highest total testosterone had a 24 percent reduced risk of transient ischemic attack or full-blown stroke. Clearly, based on this study, the only target for “healthy testosterone” is to maintain total testosterone at or above 550 ng/dL.

Thankyou for replying & sharing valuable information ,
Yes my brother i am aware if my Testosterone level’s stay at current level or drop from here i’m more prone to risk of various diseases like heart related, Diabetes, bone related etc.

I am 34yr, me & my wife decided to give a try to local Ayurvedic treatment since that ayurvedic doctor treated many mens before me from his herbal mix medicines.

i will be taking it for a month & then will go to lab will get myself tested for Total & Free Testosterone, SHBG, PSA, Thyroid T1-T2-T3, Lipid Profile, LH-FSH, Liver test, Estradiol etc various Tests WHICH I WILL SHARE here

If we see some benefit in my levels, i will further continue herbal treatment & cycle it…like 4 month on and a 15 day off…then 4 month On…

If things didn’t resolved…hoping on TRT is the way to go.

Yesterday i spent 2 hour’s on this Forum…

I am scared of getting
-Acne on my face and back (i had them in adulthood)
-Already have Gynocomastia with huge glands beneath both nipples…i don’t know whether Trt Will aggrevate it further :smiling_face_with_tear:

  • Will i loose all my hairs?

Although, i go gym & perform 30 minutes of run on Treadmill…followed by 1 hours of medium weight Strength training…eat 40% carbs-35%Protein, 25%GoodFats on 1500 calorie a day.

My goal is to shred Fat from abdomen, Love handles(obliques)…maintain good mood & energy…thats all.

Moreover, me & my wife want to have kids in next 2 yr(currently saving money)

If you’re drinking or smoking any marihuana, quit.

I stopped both about 3 months ago, and i CANNOT tell you how much better mentally i feel. Anxiety is pretty much gone. I feel happier daily. More energy. Calmer.
