I’ve been training naturally since I was 18 very consistent, and have hit a plateau in my early thirties. Been on top my cardio and diet and feel as if it’s the perfect time for a cycle. I bought some Test-C (200 MG) and also a few peptides. What would be a dosage that would be effective for a first cycle on test and how long should I run it for? 6’2, 217, 12% BF
Typically people have thrown out 500 mg a week as a recommendation which is actually way higher than it needs to be. If you’re looking at doing a cycle and then a PCT to recover then I would recommend doing 12 weeks at 250-400 mg of test per week, split across two injections (150mg twice a week). Get 25g needles that are 1 inch. Take 0.5 mg of Arimidex (anastrozol) every 3 days starting week two, to keep your estrogen levels stable.
Increase your training volume gradually over the first 4 weeks. T builds in your cycle week to week and peaks around week 4-5. Then you’ll have 7-8 weeks of high volume, intense exercise. Come of the T but keep the arimidex for 2 weeks after. Then start using either clomid and nolvadex for your PCT, or HCG in moderate to high quantities to help recovery quickly. You will loose gains. But you can retain some and get them back over several months if you do PCT right!
Also two weeks after T stops and PCT starts then drop calories back down to maintenance with protein high ~35% should do nicely. Make sure you sleep consistently. Training volume needs to drop slightly below what it was before you started T. After a couple of months and PCT finished then lean bulk. Training volume bsck to what it was before T and calories slightly above maintenance.
Recovery is vital to keeping what you earned.

Great post from a new member. I’d tend to agree with everything but the arimadex use during cycle and bridge to PCT. I’m not saying it’s wrong but it’s just as likely to cause issues as not using one because you don’t know if you needed it in the first place. Just food for thought. Many guys are fine to have higher E2 when their androgens are also higher. I never needed an AI on 3 to 400 mg of test.
