T3: 2.5
Total Test: 770
Free Test: 71.9
Bio-T: 160.3
SHBG: 53 (High)
I read a very similar article. I do not have any of the issues described. I wonder what is causing it. It sounds like it could be making me have estrogen dominance even with high test levels. Thoughts?
Your estrogen levels are absolutely fine.
One thing I don’t really understand is shbg.
Usually with high shbg E2 would be higher and by lowering e2 we "may " see shbg drop some.
You will have a hard time to control it.
Could you add in ranges and units and all the labs you have?
Do you have any other hormone issues?
Thyroid?
Adrenals?
I think ur over looking another issue possibly
Appreciate the help. You are probably right but all of my symptoms lead back to high estrogen so it just does not make much sense to me. Thanks again for your input. I really want to figure this out.

I do not have any Thyroid and Adrenal issues.
Liver labs? Ast, alt?
you really need to check the thyroid and the adrenals before saying you don’t have an issue there.
something isn’t right and its not in plain sight…
I would start with thyroid and liver tests plus all the regular bloodwork
Have you read the stickies?
I do not have them infront of me but my Liver labs were good. My thyroid was tested and all was within range. I will post them when I get home. Adrenals were not tested because the doc said there is no way that is my issue. Do you think I need to go back for the test? I have read all the stickes multiple times. Thanks again for the help!
In range means jack shit… Pardon my French…
And doctors are sometimes very clueless I have had a few not know what to say when I unloaded on them… They pretend they know a lot but are not as smart as you may think. Of course there are exceptional doctors but they are few and far between
You are very right about most docs. Here are my values of the other tests and additional tests. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Test Ref:
T4, Total 6.3 4.5-12.0 ug/dl
T3 Uptake 37.3 27.8-40.7
Free T4 2.3 .4-4.5 mIU/L
T3, Total 76 76-181 ng/dl
Liver
AST 36 10-40 u/l
ALT 63 9-46u/l
Cholesterol 54
Triglycerides 71
HDL 54
LDL 95
Iron 36 45-170 ug/dl (doc did some tests and said this is due to low dietary iron and had me get an iron sup)
TIBC 271 250-425 ug/dl
%saturation 13 20-50%
Ferritin 141 20-345 ng/ml
Maybe low iron is my issue?
Do you have tsh labs?
Ft3 is in the bottoms of range
T3 is at the bottom of range
Low ferritin has been know to increase Rt3
Ferritin isn’t low but iron is. Ferritin is the measurement for iron stored in your body for later use. Do you have gastrointestinal issues? I’m wondering why your doctor is saying this about iron intake? I am not a doctor but wouldn’t ferritin be low also?
This is out of my scope but its quite possible you don’t have a iron problem based on one test.
Ferritin is the diagnostic test for iron as far as I know.
Ask the doc for a fecal occult blood test to check for gastrointestinal issues if you want to be sure.
Thyroid doesn’t look right to me.
Check the adrenals
C peptide
Glucose
A1c
Insulin
ACTH
Cortisol
Or not but that’s my advice for now bro…
I’m just a normal guy with problems just like you man
I do not have any gastro issues. I agree with you on the iron stores vs blood levels. It does not make sense to me either. He claims it is due to having too low dietary levels. I really appreciate your advice on all accounts.
Forgot to list TSH: .90 range: .4 - 4.5 mIU/l
I think the thyroid is low due to being on a <50gm carb diet for so long so maybe I need to evaluate my diet again. I will try to have my adrenals tested.
Glucose was tested at 83 Range 65-139
Tsh looks good, with your situation I would be testing rt3 and going to see a naturopath cause the docs don’t even understand rt3
