Anyone know if there is going to be a PC or Xbox/Wii/PS2 or 3 video game coming out based on 300, or Spartan warfare?
Haven’t heard anything but I sure wouldn’t be surprised with the popularity of the movie and “Spartanness” lately. It sure would be a good way to make some money.

I’d like to see a Wii based game that might give kids a bit of a workout slashing away with the Wii. I’d also like to see weighted Wii’s … it will be interesting to see if this Wii thing can turnaround the obesity inducing computer game generation.

This game is sick and going to be hard to beat. Played it last night and after the first level you get to screw two chicks seriously. They be moanin, great game!

I’m not into the whole video game sex stuff.
I think it would be cool in a video game to be able to control a phalanx, train soldiers, employ strategy, and all that (a General’s perspective vice a foot soldier’s). You could start off as a kid in the agoge school, train and rise to king. Build an army and take over the world. I like strategy games more than the high thumb-skills action games.
The game is already out and they are actually coming out with #2 pretty soon. It’s called God Of WAR. Ok so not really but god of war feels like a very close cousin to 300, and all the time I was watching 300 I was thinking this is what a god of war movie would look and feel like, just with a slightly different story.

Last year, I had a thread about an xbox game “Spartan: Total Warrior” that kicked serious ass.

That looks pretty cool. How much strategy is involved, or is it a first-person action game like Halo, but in Spartan uniform?

I found a video clip that has a bunch of gameplay in it, along with some cut-scenes:
It’s not first person, it’s third person (bird’s eye and over the shoulder view). But the combat scenes are chaotic in the best of ways. There’s also some general adventuring that’s part strategy, part general action game.

I agree. God of War gave you a similar feeling as that movie. Hopefully I’ll have the new one by tonight.
