3 Years of Bloodwork, Feeling Worse Than Before. Advice?

WOW very detailed and well explained. This is my plan from now on, i would correct my diet and start regular workout again. I have to do breath test soon so i would add sensitivity and vitD tests as well. For sure I will add more vegetable and fruits in my diet . I hope that will fix my wbc. Currently i am taking b12 and vitamin c. What do you think of aswaghanda for stress, will it help? I will definatley look that post and will update my results here soon and again thanks for the info.

Good for you SWAN!
Variety is key. You have to build your micro nutrient levels up. Spinach, sweet potatoes, red peppers, carrots, zucchini, butternut squash all helped me tremendously with similar issues. Quality and fresh. Lower your starchy carbs and make most of your carbs from vegetables. I add white rice on training days. Keep your protein sources lean and clean. Be mindful of how your system responds. If it makes you bloated or gassy, remove it and go with something else. That’s the tell that its making your system mad. Look into low FODMAP vegetables for help. But variety variety variety. How well you poop should be your literal measuring stick on progress. Bone broth/stock is a major helper too.

Everybody is different and quality supplements matter as I’ve said before. I personally haven’t tried it yet so I can’t say. Word is KSM-66 Ashwaghanda is the way to go though.

One thing I can recommend though is this book:
Amazon.com

I’ve pulled quite a bit out of this with regards to stress and priorities. Talks to mindful eating as well. I’m not sure on your daily situations, but there may be a few gems you can take from this.

Be patient. It takes time but you will be better for it. Consistency is everything. Eating sloppy just one day can derail months of work based on how sensitive and inflamed your system is.

Also, 5g of Glutamine between meals (so 2-3 times a day) has helped me considerably. Apparently, the digestive tract really likes this stuff.
I use this. It’s fairly inexpensive and 5g is a single scoop.

and DRINK WATER daily! At least two liters…one by lunch, second by evening.

Thanks @darthmason… This looks like a good supplement related to my digestive issues.

Hello Everyone. Its been 3 months i quit TRT. Feeling alot better overall, feeling 200% better than being on TRT. Although i did blood test recently and there been some things that i can’t understand. I would meet doctor soon but for time being I would really appreciate if anyone can help me @dextermorgan @systemlord @hardartery @darthmason @dbossa @johann77 . 1. My TSH came back 4.93 first time. But free T3 and free t4 looks okay. Could it be hypothyroidism?
  2. My hb1ac came 5.8 but my glucose fasting and insulin baseline is quite good. Could it indicate prediabeic or some other condition could elevated hba1c?
  3. Progesterone and DHEA has always been high. What could be the reason behind it, as my cortisol and other adrenal results are very normal.
  4. Lipid profile has always been that high, except when i was on thyroid medication. Also wbc has always been in high range from 4 years,
  5. What supplement dose you suggest for Vitamin D, as they are very low too.

Your TSH is high, but that doesn’t necessarily mean anything right now. The best thing for Vitamin D is to go outside and be in the sun. Exposed skin, out in the air, no sunblock not behind glass of any kind. Go out in the yard and get some sun. You can supplement it as well, but don’t over do it, too much makes you sick. Personally, virtually any amount by way of supplement makes me feel like hell. Does diabetes run in the family? The high WBC and low SHBG number indicate that you have some other underlying problem that you are fighting.

This looks like it could be primary hypothyroidism, usually you’ll see an increase in TSH ealy on and the conversion of T4 to T3 will increase. You need to treat the thyroid and low-T together and the fact that you didn’t is why you felt worse, because your thyroid was struggling.

@hardartery No diabtese don’t run in family. Also is that possible to have diabetes with always normal hba1c, gulcoes etc levels? I have one broken teeth(gum boil) and sometime that cause infection i guess, Can that cause high wbc as well?

@systemlord yes high TSH looks like hypothroidism to me as well, but how come free T3 is very high? Everyone here say don’t look for tsh but rather to High ft3?

Disease can cause your thyroid to not functioning correctly.

It is a sign of infection/inflammation, so yes.

Thanks @dextermorgan for recommendation. I was trying another b12 and didnt feel anything at all but after your suggestion i tried solar brand and it has made real difference. Didn’t knew just changing brands can change that much effect.

@systemlord what you think would be good medictaion for thyroid? Synthroid or armor thyroid

Hey Swan, I read this whole thread and seems we have some similar issues with somewhat similar blood work.

How are you feeling now? Did you ever figure out what the issue was and what has helped it? And are you still off testosterone?

Depends on how you respond to said medicine and where Reverse T3 currently sits.

Hi Sean,

Really sorry for late response. Haven’t used the forum from a long time now. Yes i figured it out, only issue was my thyroid. Problem was i was trying everything together like taking arimidex, thyroid together or thyroid & testosterone toegther etc. That cause my symptoms worse and made me more confuse. Now i am just talking 75mcg synthroid from 6 months and totally feels like a new person. Blood test are awesom. I dont remember exactly but free testosterone was on upper range and total testosterone a little more than middle. My tsh is always close to 1 and Free t4, free t3 on the upper end. Please feel free to ask any other information if you like

Man, awesome to hear. I’m glad you’ve got it figured out. My goal is to get my issues figured out so I can stay off here too lol.

Can you tell me what all your symptoms were exactly? And did you ever have increased heart rate?

Thanks again.

•Total Loss of interest in sex. Erectile dysfunction
•Always feel weakness & Get Tired quickly
•Head pressure and pain behind eyes and sometimes throat as well
•Fat around waist & hips. Skinny arms and hard to put muscle no matter what
•Can’t grow beard and body hairs at age of 27
•Lack of motivation & ability to put focus stay all day at room and becoming anti social

These were main sypmtoms and i had low testosterone as well. I had no idea only thyroid issue could cause that much damage, had only one goal to maximize testosterone level with injection. I had in mind that nothing else would work except injections. Never had increased heart rate issue. But lately i am having very bad acid reflux and heartburn, But nothing that serious. I hope you will find the main root of the issue as well. Just find decent endocrinologist and people here are very helpful. Good Luck

Thanks again. I have a few more questions if you don’t mind.

  1. Did your cholesterol improve on the thyroid medication?

  2. Did you have any anxiety or brain fog?

  3. What supplements do you take or did you take that have helped?

Thanks @swan9021
