I haven’t been using or even aware of what Iodine or iodized salt is until ive seen this forum. So no I haven’t been using or supplementing in the past w/ iodine neither has my GF.
You said my LH and FSH were low
I have been a heavy marijuana user and have seen many articles online regarding Marijuana use and damage to the pituitary and FSH/LH
what is your experience with that?
also could I benefit from the HPTA restart or what would be the right next step for me… to find a doc i guess??
Thank you so much sir i really appreciate everything. What can I do to give back to you for all your time and help? please tell me
also mayb its my cortisol . my lab shows 13 at 9am… see above
What can you give back? Just try to understand the material here. Please re-read my posts as you will see more there as you climb the learning curve. The best thing for you is to read the stickies as there is so much there that cannot be covered in any guy’s thread. I do not get to Toronto very often now and may not ever again.
HPTA restarts sometimes work, often not.
You are in Canada. All table salt must be iodized, but ‘specialty’ salts do not need to be iodized. Assuming that you are iodine deficient, you need iodine supplements because you eat so little home cooked foods.
Your weight gain really does suggest a lowered metabolic rate and thyroid function is typically the major player.
I am the same age as you. Having the exact same symptoms . I know how this can be hell sometimes , I’ve lost the girl I love cause of the mood swings, depression and low sex drive. I’ve been feeling like shit for the past years . This thing ain’t no joke ! Tell your girl to be patient and be patient yourself. the information you can find on this forum will be more useful than most of the things doctors says. I had trt for a month but had to stop cause I changed to a new endo who wanted to investigate more to find the cause of my low t. I’m starting back again soon . While i was on trt ive became my old self . I’m feeling way better on trt this is life changing. I went as low to have suicidal thoughts before i knew what was my problem . All i can say is don’t give up,be strong and that some people like me know exactly what you are going through. (Sorry for my english I speak french)
Man thank you so much for your kind words. I honestly find it so very comforting. Your english is very good not to worry! Im sick of the resistance im getting from doctors and my family trying to explain this shit to people who dont get it.
Im at the point where I want to self medicate. I just want to learn the ins and outs of my hormonal system in order to do things the correct way.
I was in the same boat, similar bloods with even lower TT. So first I self-prescribed myself with Nolva, was on it for 3 months. It made me feel a lot better but brought upon a whole other slew of problems and after being off of it for 2~ weeks, I returned back to my depressed state.
Am on self-prescribed trt now @ 125mg a week and feel amazing. Best of luck dude
fT3 is higher than midrange. Suggesting possible issues with rT3 that would also explain TSH=1.97, given your body temperatures, your body is adapting quite well.
IR will make TSH higher [normal and expected], so TSH lab results will have no value.
Watch your body temps and see if you notice any changes to mental clarity.
feeling slightly better, I think mental clarity is mayb better the slightest bit. temps are evening out… usually strady at 99F at night
Now im at 97.5F
Thank you KSman. can you give me an email I would like to send you a gift. im sure you dont want to disclose your email here but if you could please email me at : azer-32@hotmail.com. I would really appreciate if you could accept my gift.
Definity check your T Levels and for depression. 1% of adults have low T. I was at 190, Tired, falling asleep at 4pm daily… no energy. Year later, I have T levels at 1300, lots of energy and on a plan to build the body.
HPTA restart was attempted using SERM, I’ve used HCG in the past as part of PCT protocols tho.
No AI currently, from past experience very sensitive to AIs and tend to crash estro really easily but do have some on hand in case I need it.
Went to 4 doctors, they never did anything because I was in reference range… but at the very low end. TRT clinics charged a bit too much, like $2000 just for initial screening / testing.
Diet was okay, pretty good. I stayed at low T for a about a year because I thought it’d get sorted out by itself, and got 3 blood tests 3 months a part during the year, all came within 8-12 TT, free T around 220~
Does this mean I have to get my rT3 tested now? What does this tell me about my thyroid issue and what to do next.
Since the D3 or the Iodoral my sex drive have been coming back noticeably!!! its not near perfect but its an improvement! could the D3 be the root of all the problems?
before I thought i would just have to get my Test back in check and I could use TRT for that… now i worry that i have to fix my thyroid first how the heck am i going to do that…
one of my possible theories is that as I fix my diet and begin to eat nutrient dense foods, my hormone problems will fix themselves? Is that wish-full thinking?
