Haha, you so funneh :-/

I just realised you joined T-Nation in 2002…when I was 9 years old…
Damn!

Some of the regulars have been in this place since their mid tweenties/thirties.

I wonder what’s going to be in the next 10 years.

Someone starts a thread titled: TN/GAL/SAMA and OTHER SUBFORUMS: 10 YEARS FROM NOW. ID, EDGY, PROF X, DEREK, 460, Rodimus Black, Robert A, HeavyThrower, and the other old fuckers ( I said this with love  ), will you still be around?

I wonder if I’ll still be around, 10 years from now, posting sexual shit and stuff…

Shit, it’s 2012, right? We’re all going to die!!! NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
In reality, they were most likely around before 2002. I can’t remember when I joined, but I think that it was fall of 2002 when the join date appeared.
I joined in 2000. They revamped the board and many of us got “2002” join dates.

How was TN like?

LOL. I was one of the younger main posters here at the time still in school. I doubt the archives go back that far.

Used to have some really interesting discussions going on then.

I lurked for years before posting, but by the time I did I had read so much of the forums I felt like I knew everyone.

Smaller. There are no doubt thousands of people who cross this site daily now whereas there were likely closer to “hundreds” back then. The discussions were better and “smarter” than what I see on the board now, no joke.

Don’t worry. It will be.
Christine wrote:

Agreed. The crap that goes up now is real weak compared to when this site started. the people posting were more passionate about it so you didn’t get tons of threads ending in cat pictures. They ended in real debate.

Now, you have posters who don’t do shit but chase other posters around the forum posting bullshit or calling people out.

As far as discussions go, there has been a serious downgrade.

Bell curve, not much TNation can do about that unless they start charging.

Oh, I know…but I hate the attitude lately like they would truly rather discuss the cat pictures than anything deeper than that.

Having people completely misunderstand correct sentence structure and call YOU stupid for their own lack of understanding is going to just make people leave.

I liked Cy Wilson. I also see now there are less people here who would be able to follow what he used to write.

Ill never forget one time I recommended this site to a kid who I hired to work for me.

He was “Boss I dont know that site has all those articles that are hard to understand, its all scientific and stuff”.

I’d be more interested in wtf this site/the internet in general will be like in 10 years, regardless of who is ‘still around.’ Technology evolves at an astonishing rate, and the world continues to get effectively smaller, ‘forums’ are already becoming outdated by livespilly/more instant medias, only god knows how that will work with another decade of growth.

Said evolution may not be a good thing either.

This thread turned out masterfully
