Have posted this before, I asked my dad to take some CoQ10 (when he was prescibed statins) he spoke to his doctor who said
- Supplements don’t do anything
- Supplements will stop the statin from working
So naturally my dad listens to his doctor rather than his son who works in IT. I was amazed how something can do nothing and yet still stop a drug from working…

I’ve had the same problem with my family. I actually considered going to med school just to spite some people who feel if you don’t have an MD nothing you say can be right. And this is despite all the evidence in the world you can provide to the contrary of the MD’s opinion.

Wow, talk about misguided. However, just as a note, Co-Q10 may make the blood thinner Warfarin less productive, so it should be discussed with a doc before hand. Though, looks like he’s in need a 2nd opinion, one that’s not biased.
