what is best for strength Powerlifting or Olympic lats and if so what are good routines

Looking to compete in physique… powerlifting…looking to gain strength, weightlifting…wut. Make up ur mind mane.

You Iranian or something? Chill with the olympic weightlifting. Is fun but it’s easier to get sexy via bodybuilding or powerlifting training. You can and should attempt to gain strength. Muscle gains potentiate strength and strength potentiates muscle. Just focus on progressively overloading the exercises/bodyparts as per your goal.

As for physique strengths/weakness you could trace a line around your body at about chest level and that’s where your strong points lie. It looks really good… like the way gear would pack on muscle but I digress lel.

Unfortunately it makes your arms look small even if they are not actually small at all. Especially triceps from the back: looks weird af. Time to level up the close grip bench and weighted dips man.

Lats are there but it’s all in the posing. Look up vids and tutorials online and go around practicing in every reflective surface you come across.

I am iranian….

Maybe go easy on the Olympic lifting. Pick a goal for now and stick with it. Unless you want to be the next Rezazadeh there’s time for that later.

ok and what would be a good training/nutrition program to get stronger

-Yes to everything EyeDentist just said!..Especially the part about taking a year to gain. (:

Lacking size and maturity! All… All your body need to be increased, allllll… even for a local competition at physique level, you need MUCH MORE MUSCLE. Don’t even try to compete like this, its worthless… to compete, you’ll need good 1/2 years, considering you know what you’re doing with steroids! Thats my one and final statment. As natural you could look muck better, as a natural, when without tshirt, you should be more impressive! But this not happening, I see almost a normal guy, no lifting guy, sorry, but true.

Damn and i thought @khangles or @Irishman92 were the brutal ones. " i see no lifting guy" lol. Well worth the thread bump by @esl11.

as far as nutrition goes the best route to go is to get 1-1.5g of protein per pound you weigh and 1.6-2g of carbs per pound and .3-.5g of fat per pound. And for training, everybody’s body responds differently but the best route to go is to do a split of strength and hypertrophy training and train each body part 2-3 times a week(3 times for smaller muscles like calves, rear delts etc…) An example of that would be like Sunday/wednesday train legs once heavy with low reps and high volume the other high volume with 8-12 reps. and do the same with other muscle groups like monday/thursday chest and arms and tuesday/friday back and shoulders and rest on saturday

Haven’t read the other replies yet, so this may be a repeat, but your shoulders and traps are actually looking pretty nice, but your chest, arms and lats need a fair bi of catching up. IMO anyway

Read the “current bodybuilding training thread 2.0” in the BB subforum of this site. There’s a shit ton a great info in that thread that would probably be of use to you

Also this. A lot of top guys on here agree that trying to stay shredded and keep their 6 pack usually ends up impeding the process of putting on size. I’m not saying eat like an asshole and blow up, but don’t be afraid to let the abs get a little blurry while trying to add muscle
