23 Year Old Pensioners

Clubbing’s a lot more popular on this side of the pond than over thar in the USA. So don’t run it down. I’ve spent many’s a year clubbing and still do once in a while to keep my hand in. Somebody’s gotta do it or those baby seals get all uppity and right out of hand.

Braaaa Haaaa Haaaaa

One of the main reasons I got tired of clubbing is the idiot chicks you meet. Nothing but drama queens and dumb girls without their heads screwed on straight.

“what is love?..baby don’t hurt me…don’t hurt me…no more…”

Hey that song is great! hahah lol
So yeah, I think people should stop bashing things just cuz they dont like clubs. He asked a question in regards to it being impossible to getting people to go out. I agree its hard to just get people to even go out, what shit difference it makes is where you go out, bar, pub, club… I dont mind clubs, Europe and Montreal are closer because of the club scene, my cousins in the netherlands love spain, and said the club scene rocks there, but you have to realize the clubs in europe make our clubs look tiny, they have huge raves and parties with some really good dj’s.

Now if it isnt your thing, nobody forces you to like it. You just gota find people who want to get out more, not younger people, those who say to hangout with freshmen is a generalization, you need to meet more people that like getting out. I am 23, and I still enjoy going out, i go to a bar maybe 1-2 times a week, and a club very rarely, but just because I dont dance.

I do attend one club where i can just sit in the vip and drink free bottles of hard liquor! its great knowing an owner of a club! Picking up girls is easy at clubs too. I like bars more but most of the hot chicks are in the clubs. But I hear you dude. My friends rarely wana go out, im tired of people that dont wana go out, but i just find other people who do.

Perhaps they are busy busting their ass at work 40+ hours a day.

I think that 23 is too young to stop going out. It took me until I was about 28/29 to get it out of my system. Which in my experience got me ready to be married. What I mean is…I’ve had the partying, the fun, the one nighters…If I got married younger, I might still be wondering what that’s like.

But it all depends on personal preference. There are people who stop or never even start the partying…Other’s keep it going WAY too long, (we’ve all seen those people out there, mid 30’s or even 40’s, going out every week…wearing things they have no business wearing, but that’s another topic).

It’s funny how young people figure that older people shouldn’t do certain things or shouldn’t wear certain things.

I mean sure, fat hanging out of clothes is gross, but not all older people are fat, if that is all you mean.

Anyway, all those cool styles you think are new and for your generation only, they were a fad at some point for us older folks… and we might just like it when these things come back in style.

More seriously, I think it is what other people have already said. In my mid twenties I was just starting my career, and I took it very seriously. My weekends were generally used to add to my skills.

It can be a trade off. Party a lot or get a jump on your career. If people are thinking about getting married and supporting a family, an extra promotion or two can make a big difference.

Just so we’re clear here, I never know what clubbing means. If it means going out to where they play dance “music”, then I’ve never done it in my life. I fucking hate that shit music and the pretty boys that go there.

On the other hand, if you’re just talking about going out to bars and what not, or going out in general, then see my first post on this thread.

If you used to club, and don’t anymore, relax. Maybe The Gay is in remission for you. One can only hope it never comes back.

Look at it like this, 3.50 for a beer at the “club”. I can pay 4.00 and grab a six pack at the grocery store and I also have the oppurtunity to have an intelligent conversation with the woman checking out in the aisle next to mine. Not only that but if I’m lucky I can work my way into fixing her dinner and actually getting to know her instead of trying to hook up with her between restroom breaks, chain smoking and obnoxious assholes with imaginary lat syndrome. Now if I could only get my 22 year old wife to agree to the hottie in the aisle next to us.

It’s all preception, you never really meet anyone worth while in a club. I would rather sit home with my wife or my girlfriend, prior to getting married, and relaxe on the balcony having a drink. Besides it’s cheaper, I’ve never been pulled over for a DWI while sitting at home relaxing with friends or alone with my girl.

Okay, I have to ask: What the hell is “imaginary lat syndrome”?

I’m 22 and I love going out. I prefer to go to bars though. Here in Rochester all the bars are 21 and over, but the clubs are usually 18 over. I avoid the clubs like the plague. Now maybe in NYC or Miami there are some clubs that are different, but not here.

They aren’t that diff anyways, most of the bars now have a dance floor and a DJ…so you can still listen to music and stand at the bar and chat up hotties.

My only concern is drinking when I’m training. Fucks up your gains!

E’s are expensive in the US?

They tend to make clubbing, and the women a whole lot more appealing.

Not that i have done that in a while, because wthings aren’t as they used to be (misty eyed).

Was wondering when someone was gonna reference that movie. I’ve never been into the club scene but my sister and all her friends are big time club/bar/lounge hoppers (she’s 23). And not the cheap $3 cover charge ones but Miami “The List” ones. She’s telling me now how she’s wasted the last 7 years of her life getting trashed and getting offers from rich men.

I’m only 20 but knew my priorities a long time before she did obviously and saw this comin a long time ago. I knew I wanted to do something valuable with my life and career and dropping extacy and watching lasers wasn’t gonna help me get there. And there’s no better place to meet good pussy than the gym or beach. Besides it’s hard to eat every 2 hours at a club.

you dont know…

It is when people walk around pubs and clubs with 2 imaginary white goods (fridges)/caprets/holdals etc. under their arms.

They then have I.L.S. (Imaginary Lat Syndrome)
