22Y/O, Desperately Needing Help, Going to Self Prescribe TRT

Emailing you now

You are missing the point that they informed a sick patient who was feeling hopeless it was medecine.
And then gave them pure water.

Placebo in this sense means that the patient was anticipating a certain outcome.

The patient was informed that this outcome would occur.

This gives the patient hope who starts trying harder to get better. The patient starts to eat, and drink, and take their medecine on time. Ect.
People misunderstand how things like this truly work.
There really is no proof anyways that any patient has gotten better this way. And there would be no proof they were going to die. They may have gotten better with or without some placebo study.

Taking a shot of testosterone not knowing what to expect what so ever. Or expecting nothing at all to happen. But being totally surprised with an almost instant result. Is NOT A PLACEBO EFFECT.

Got it. That makes sense I see your point.

For me when I shot 200mg or 100mg twice a week I felt it within hours . Libido that’s all.

About ten years ago when I took a shot on natural healthy levels of t I woke up two days later high as a kite feeling like a million bucks it was fantastic and then I decided to never do it again…until now and I never got the same feeling.

I don’t think it’s olacebo. I don’t know … too many guys say they feel it work fast and I can’t deny that when I know it produces effects quickly for me as well.

But immediate like 10 mins later is very fast.

@jman31

Sounds like your describing something they refer to in medicine as the placebo effect.

Cheers, just replied.
I can’t thank you enough for your assistance.
This is truely a great forum :slight_smile:

How low were your testosterone levels before starting TRT?
Why did you suddenly stop?

And ya just forget that stupid word ā€œplaceboā€
It simply doesn’t exist in the way people think it does. (huge eye roll)
And it’s completely irrelevant. Why does it need to be talked about? Just so guys can burst another guy’s bubble?
If some one is benefiting from something in any way shape or form, who gives a damn where it comes from?
Even if placebo did exist. They’d be one in the same anyways.

I just pinned 5 minutes ago…

Does anyone else get that head buzz?
It’s weird. My brain is buzzing. And I’m feeling some sort of surge in my core.

I also get a nice affect after injection. More so when I did shallow IM. It’s more subtle on
Subq.

I also believe to have harder erection later in the day and the next.

I get that after injection buzz too. I have only started trt and onto my second shot. The first night I felt amazing and second shot i had the best workout/pump I have had in 3 odd years. I thought it was placebo of it but also I have a decent fear of needles, so I thinking overcoming that would of helped.

Right on. It’s not placebo man. It’s real.

Never had a placebo affect in my entire life.
I can see a placebo type thing happening to people 100 to 1000 years ago.
But not in modern day society.

Well I think I do, when I have started certain supplements etc, I do get a boost in the brain, maybe the positive/confidence shift makes me function better til it wears off

You opened a new account under a different name and are arguing the same placebo shit that got you in trouble. Stay, have fun, learn but don’t bring up the stupid shit. Placebo is real, no one cares about it one way or the other (or your opinion about it). It’s not an argument worth arguing.

I’m pretty sure the improved results I experienced from pinning were a result of higher concentrations and spikes in T.
But it didn’t make me as horny as the testim gel. I’m sure pinning SubQ is similar.

@charlie12

I noticed something very interesting about SubQ.
And I believe I have also read something about pinning subQ
I heard something like more of the T is converted to estrogen when injected SubQ.
And it must be at least partly true, because the most horny I’ve ever been in my life is when I was using TESTIM gel.
I don’t know for sure so please don’t quote me on that.
But that’s what I’m experiencing.

When I was using testim and cernos gel (andro gel generic) I didn’t seem to get any of the strength increases, nor did it ease my joint pain that much.
Walking around in the retail store I work at put my knees and feet in a shit ton of pain.
When I started pinning Im, I wasn’t near as horny. But the joint pain improved a hell of a lot from the first few days. And I also had noticeable strength gains.

For me. Intramuscular is definetly the way to go.

@jman31
I believe the cream/gel makes the dht way up and that’s what causes the libido. Could be wrong on that but I think that’s what I’ve read @enackers say about it.

I prefer IM over sub-q because I do feel a little something on it after the shot. Probably because it enters the blood faster than sub-q.

I want stability I really don’t want to feel a burst of anything. Steady…
Esp since I have cardiomyopathy now.

@jman31 are u saying on subq you get more horny because more e2 but everything else is better on im like joints etc

More E2 would be better on joints.

Feeling something doesn’t mean you’re sacrificing stability.

Guys on here have reported feeling something quickly from pinning 7mg daily. That’s about as stable as you can get.

And I think it’s a great idea. Because the more closely we can resemble our bodies own production, the better. Our testicles don’t produce 200mg all at once, once every two weeks. They produce about 7 to 10mg a day.

@hardartery

Yes that’s what I’m speculating. that pinning IM causes more of a spike in serum T levels. Leading to a spike in E2 levels.
