Yes i am an asshole, because i support Desantis and what he is doing in the state of florida…we have law and order (crime is not rampant compared to other states), he passes bills to protect the kids, he was front and center during last years hurricane (i know this first hand because i work for FPL), and he calls out the stupid woke bullshit thats going on…he is pro second amendment

DeSantis supports the Sherrif here (Wayne Ivey) who is a terrible human (worse than DeSantis). I have met the Sherrif in person a couple of times and didnt like any interaction or what he had to say in a speech (reeked of shitty Christian Nationalism)

Shitty humans in general. Like most politicians. Very few are actually decent humans at the national level (and DeSantis is definitely on the national level given his news coverage). I think sleepy Joe and Kamala (who can’t articulate a thought not on a teleprompter to save her life) are just as bad.

My observation is that it was a protest that turned into a riot. But it was the most pitiful attempt at insurrection in the history of mankind.
What does that have to do with anything? Someone said they don’t like Trump and DeSantis and you said that means they don’t support law and order. Like there’s not a hundred other politicians one can get behind. Trump doesn’t represent all conservatives. He’s past his prime and people are getting tired of him. I bet DeSantis would get more votes in 2024.
Not liking Trump doesn’t mean someone “stands for nothing.” I don’t like Trump but there are other Republicans that I do like.
Pitiful attempt is still an attempt. If you look up the definition of insurrection I think you can make a solid connection.

I don’t believe any of those of January 6th thought they were attempting an insurrection. What they did was very poorly thought out. It was not an attempt. It was what it was defined/labeled by the opposition. It could just as easily been labeled a riot.
